My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm awesome, life is awesome, and you (yes, you whom I have not yet met) are awesome.

That's the important part. Here're the details:

I used to be a sheltered nerd, but now I think of myself as a reasonably well-rounded... nerd. I like getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things, but I always find my life revolving around games, media, computers, science, and absurd (awesome) discussions. I'm intelligent, funny, adaptable, practical, and really terrible at writing these. (Isn't everyone?)

I love games and puzzles of all sorts (card games, board games, party games, video games, logic puzzles, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, ...) and have my whole life. I like to think about them and discuss them too, though, not just play them.

I've lived here for two years now, after living in North Carolina my whole life prior. Although I have friends from work, I'd love to meet some new people and keep exploring the area.

Despite rarely playing it, my life sort of revolves around Magic: The Gathering. (It's a card game.) If you know what it is (or play yourself), great! If not, also great!

Life is about balance and having fun, and I cherish my ability to discuss serious ethical issues one minute and then laugh my ass off at a funny cat picture the next.

At first I was horribly nervous/embarrassed at the idea of using a dating website. And then I realized life's too fucking short to sweat the small stuff. I want to find someone that makes me happy, that I make happy, and we can both have a good time together.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I worked at a TV Station for six-and-a-half years, but moved to Roanoke for my current job and I love it. It's extremely unique, but manages to combine my loves of games, media, and travel into one crazy, busy, & exciting package.

I have major interests in computers and other nerdy areas (math, science, games, anime, etc.), but my primary hobby is Magic. It's allowed me to travel, and the experiences, places, and friends have had a bigger impact on me than maybe anything else in my life. I never expected a game to help me grow as a person.

Lately I've also gotten back into computer programming, especially learning how to work with databases. (Which are awesome! :P)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Getting along with anybody.
-Adapting to different social situations. (I can be polite, rowdy, nerdy, silly or serious as needed. :) )
-Learning (most) things quickly. (As a male, I am sometimes rendered mentally incapable when the fairer sex is involved. I'm sure you're used to it, but I still apologize on behalf of my gender in advance.)
-Games ;) (Board, Video, Card, or otherwise)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
-Did he just say "LOL" in person?
-Wow, this guy can't sing.
-At least he's trying to dance.

Once they get to know me a little better, I'm trustworthy, honest, rarely serious, very open, learn quickly, come through in a pinch, and keep quoting things you probably haven't seen.

Physically? I've been complimented on my eyes and voice.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, the Universe, and Everything. Maybe not quite so grandiose, but my mind wanders pretty much everywhere.

Magic, Work, Friends, and if that perfect someone is really out there covers most of it, though.

Is the "real me" the kind, sensitive, thoughtful, hopeless romantic side? Or is it the cold, logical, arrogant, aggressive side? What about the goofy, fun-loving, impulsive side?

...Can't it be all of them?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
In a hotel somewhere around the country, out seeing a movie with friends, or flirting on OKCupid and wishing someone as impulsive as I wanted to hang out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think sex and sexual behaviors are fascinating subjects, and will happily engage in open discussions about them.

Kink-friendly (but not kink-only) switch that leans sub.

If you've got a question, just ask. I don't mind baring my innermost thoughts, desires, and beliefs to a stranger on the internet. I think it's kind of fun.

you want to meet me. Or talk to me. Or just talk to a guy about something you aren't comfortable talking to anyone else about. I'm a pretty open guy.

If you're an analytical/logically inclined nerd girl with a competitive streak, penchant for fun, and knowledge of just how awesome you are, you should definitely message me :D
