That's the important part. Here're the details:
I used to be a sheltered nerd, but now I think of myself as a reasonably well-rounded... nerd. I like getting out of my comfort zone and trying new things, but I always find my life revolving around games, media, computers, science, and absurd (awesome) discussions. I'm intelligent, funny, adaptable, practical, and really terrible at writing these. (Isn't everyone?)
I love games and puzzles of all sorts (card games, board games, party games, video games, logic puzzles, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, ...) and have my whole life. I like to think about them and discuss them too, though, not just play them.
I've lived here for about a year and a half now. I moved here in late May after living in North Carolina my whole life. Although I have lots of friends from work, I'd love to meet some new people and keep exploring the area.
Despite rarely playing it, my life sort of revolves around Magic: The Gathering. (It's a card game.) If you know what it is (or play yourself), great! If not, also great! (My last girlfriend didn't play and we dated for 7 months.)
Life is about balance and having fun, and I cherish my ability to discuss serious ethical issues one minute and then laugh my ass off at a funny cat picture the next.
At first I was horribly nervous/embarrassed at the idea of using a dating website. And then I realized life's too fucking short to sweat the small stuff. I want to find someone that makes me happy, that I make happy, and we can both have a good time together.
