My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've just been settling back into the ol' US of 'merica after three years abroad. I've been working on a demonstrative agroforestry project in Nicaragua, teaching people how to identify fruit trees, plant nitrogen fixers with their annual crops, mulch, soil reparation, that kind of thing.

I've been all over in the past few years.

I was in NYC for a while making art and working as a courier. I've developed horticulture projects with small scale coffee farmers, done translations, taught english in Honduras and music in Ecuador. I like to travel but don't believe in traveling just for the sake of it. I like to be in a place and get to know people. I'm starting to believe that I'm ready for something beyond the endless transience, and that I want to have friendships and relationships that don't have some cutoff date when myself or my friends and loved ones are always leaving to go somewhere else.

Food is important. (Not just delicious) I believe that by changing the way we farm and interact with what we eat, we can change the world. I call this the 'kick the legs out from under the beast' revolutionary tactic.

I try not to preach. I'm a reluctant radical.

I have many passions. I studied painting. I write fiction and take it seriously. I read a lot and don't take it seriously at all.

I can light a fire from what I find on the ground with one match in a thunderstorm, and I don't expect you to care. (But I can't use an iPhone to save my life.)

Nothing feels more right to me than being in a forest.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working at a small organic farm, learning how to run a farm as a business, grow quality veg, and sell it at farmers markets. I plan on starting an agroforestry project in the NE in the next few years, but who knows what that will be exactly or where.

I write as much as I can get away with. I don't want my art to become my job, but I want my job to leave plenty of time for my art.

I'm an experience junkie. I live for stories.
