My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'd like to describe myself as an open-minded, level-headed pacifist. I have an engineering background (nerd alert!) and I'm interested in a broad range of subjects. I like my work and I'm continuously working on all kinds of hobby projects, ranging from ideas for web applications to work on the house. And still trying to finish a PhD on the side.

I'm quite serious about a healthy life style both dietary- and exercise-wise. I bike and walk as much as I can, go to the gym at least once a week and I like dancing (salsa).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm just doing this stuff that I like and that I kind of hope helps to make the world a better place.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently, people can see from the outside that I tend to be quiet, level-headed and trustworthy. The dry and sarcastic humor also becomes apparent relatively quickly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm not sure how to define my music taste. It ranges from electronic chill-out world music (Buddha Bar, David Starfire, Bombay Dub Orchestra, Suburbs of Goa / SomaFM) to more European folk music (Irfan, Corvus Corax). I also like Goldfish, Coldplay, Daft Punk and some popular music ("top 40", alternative rock, dance), but it really depends on the song.

Bookwise I like anything that is well-written and makes you think. I don't really have a specific taste. Lately I've read books like The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy and The Hunger Games. I also like books about stuff that interests me, such as genetics, logic or the Buddhist way of life.

I like movies when the story is a bit different from the usual, when you can't predict in advance what's going to happen. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Magnolia, Vanilla Sky, stuff like that. I like it when movies don't end well. (ok, maybe not always)
The six things I could never do without
