My self-summary
Let's see...Once upon a time I went to Wesleyan, where I studied art history. I worked in politics for a while, in preparation for becoming a lawyer, but I decided the law didn't suit me. I love Boston and what I'm doing (which is getting my masters in engineering). Myers-Briggs INTJ. I love talking about art, movies, philosophy, etc. Maybe I'll add more to this later if I get around to it
What I’m doing with my life
I'm studying to be an engineer, wherever that leads
I’m really good at
Picking out a great movie, making weird and delicious things, impersonating a museum tour guide, games (of the non-video variety, although I'm not bad at super smash bros)
The first things people usually notice about me
Ummm...I'm tall and bearded? I've never asked
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Ok, the important stuff
Books:
Fiction: anything Oscar Wilde (esp The Importance of Being Ernest and Portrait of Dorian Grey), Jude the Obscure, The Count of Monte Cristo, 100 years of solitude. These havent changed in years...I really should read more fiction.
Nonfiction: Anything Nietzsche or Chomsky. Dawkins is fun...these questions are hard
Movies: Army or Darkness, Seven Samurai, City of God, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, the Wild Bunch, Stranger than Fiction, 400 blows, and anything with zombies
Shows: Archer, Flight of the Conchords, Futurama, Breaking Bad, American Dad, Firefly, Venture Brothers, Walking Dead, American Horror Story, the BBC Sherlock, Black Adder
Music: if it's done well, I like it. From Tupac to Béla Bartók, I'm just not interested in most top 40
Off the top of my head:
Seeed
Gogol Bordello
The Dubliners
Blackalicious
Common Market
Cake
Old Crow Medicine Show
Spoon
Pheonix
Sweatshop union
Pigeon John
I love a lot of Schubert and Beethoven
Food: Just like music, if it's done well, I like it. Also, I really love super spicy. Just nothing deep fried, thanks
The six things I could never do without
1. Art/music/movies
2. Dogs
3. Coffee
4. Calvin and Hobbes
5. Gadgets
6. Blair's hot sauces
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Art, philosophy, the next thing I want to make (my present passion project is making a watch from scratch)
On a typical Friday night I am
Grabbing beers with old friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll admit lots of private things, but not on the internet

  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 18–32
  • Near me
  • For new friends, short-term dating, casual sex

You can carry a decent conversation
