My self-summary
I am the type of guy who is very focused on the future. I put a lot of effort in making sure that I can achieve the most I possibly can in my allotted time on this earth. I spend a lot of time working on projects; I am a really crafty guy. These projects of mine are good enough that they are receiving notice from other people, and as such I am moving pretty fast on my way to a dream lifestyle where I can relax and focus on the finer things in life.

Not so fast though, haha

I have two sisters who mean the world to me; one has Down's Syndrome so my family life revolves around forwarding the rights of people with special needs. Sadly, my time in the states is drawing to a close in the next two years, and because of that I will not be able to see them anywhere near the amount I want to. My mom is originally from south France, she keeps pushing me to go work with our family there. I would be closer to my siblings, but I have always wanted to go to Japan.

I am a DotA buff, and my personal "I wanna be a rockstar" dream is to go pro, with the jerseys, trophies, and all that jazz. It is a little nerdy, but then again I am a nerdy guy.

I am an ENFP if that wasn't already obvious.
What I’m doing with my life
I used to be a music major back in the day, but nowadays I do a lot of research within Computer Science. Electronic parts fill my desk, and I get very excited over the opportunity to create.

Things I am working on:
Cloud Computation
Parallelism through Distributed Systems
Open-Source Integration
Neural-Network based AI theory

However, currently work is far less glamorous. I work as a Barista near ODU while my Master's scholarship application is in review. Upon completion (if I actually get it), I will leave the North America within a year and a half. I want to try to do everything I can to experience what the US has to offer within that time, because I will be gone for at least 4 years. Even then, I do not know whether I will come back depending on where my work takes me. I am very, very nervous about dipping my toes in a relationship again because of this. My last relationship lasted two years, and I doubt that my next will be shorter. I am trying to get used to dating around, but there is no denying that I am a monogamist at heart.
I’m really good at
Forming ideas. I tend to conceptualize things that easily excites others. I like to think that my ideas are great, and I do enjoy the support of those around me. I do not think I would be able to sustain my work if it were not for my friends.
The first things people usually notice about me
I tend to stick out in a crowd. I like wearing bright colors and shirts with cats on them.

Within social circles I am a pretty goofy guy, and I attract the friendship of others very easily.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy trip-hop immensely, and I also have a decent knowledge of most rap music. A lot of my work focuses on pushing the boundaries of audio technology, and to use the benefits of my work with my favorite hobby makes life well worth living.

I am rather well-versed in film. I enjoy foreign films and classics, but I do have a soft spot for trashy films. I am a sucker for noir styling, with favorites including Brazil, the Maltese Falcon, and Pulp Fiction. I cannot turn a Troma film down, and when at movie theaters I often opt for sci-fi. Television wise, I sincerely enjoy anime as a relaxing option. Art-house works by Gainex, Shaft, and Shinichirō Watanabe are distinct favorites.

I do play videogames, but usually at obscure hours. I am a fan of computer games, as that is what I was raised on. I enjoy handheld and classic videogames, and my collection is something I am proud of. Defense of the Ancients is the game I frequent the most. I have been playing it since 2006 and I rank myself as an upper-mid tier player. I am hoping to go pro and captain a team in Japan; why not shoot for the stars, right?

For books, I absolutely adore foreign crime novels. They reach a level of darkness that the American market will not touch, but I still identify with.

As far as food goes, I lean towards a pescatarian preference, but my love of tacos overwhelms. I usually find someone to go out with me for a taco night once a week.
The six things I could never do without
1: My family. A very typical answer, but I would not have anywhere near the confidence I do without my family believing in my ability to accomplish great things.

2: My friends. Another typical answer, but if it were not for my friends, my work would have burned me out a long time ago. I am human, I still stress a fair amount. My friends are those that ground me and tell me that it is possible to accomplish what I dream.

3: Computers. As a Computer Science major, I often have several on hand. My curiosity will likely kill me one day, but computers ease that by letting me Google anything that hits my mind and giving me a near-infinite framework to tinker with.

4: Headphones. Audio is a very important thing for me, and I absolutely love headphones. I try to push my research towards audio applications, so that it would better the listening experience for the world.

5: A bike. As complicated as computers are, using something as simplistic as a bicycle is relaxing. When a it is a nice day, exploring on a bicycle is fun and revitalizing. Late-night urban bike rides is an awesome way to end work.

6: Animals. My family rescues animals, and I love playing with them. My mother is a veritable crazy cat lady, and I am not too far off. I am going to try and get a hairless kitten soon. We will snuggle and play videogames.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever I am currently thinking about. Please bear with me when I say that I am terrible at multitasking. I am nigh-unbearably passionate, but only about what my current thought is. At my best I can get so excited about something that I can move the earth to do it, at my worst I am the ditsiest of airheads.
On a typical Friday night I am
I am usually out somewhere with friends after work. Playing pool at the local bar and discussing the day over a beer is the usual. Afterwards I go home to "chill", and then end the night with some videogames.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My success is largely due my high expectations for myself. I fear the day when I do not reach my expectations.

I have a childhood fear of whales.

You are passionate too! We do not need to share the same passions, but it at least has to be present. Is there something you work on that you take pride in? Do you create something fantastic, whether it be in the sciences or arts? If there is something you can get excited about, I know I can get excited about it too.
