My self-summary
I enjoy reading and writing equally. I'd like to say I go after more intellectual pursuits, but that tends to take a back seat to activities with somewhat more immediate results. I especially love seeing something I've undertaken come to completion, whether it's a small crafting project or a game plan executed well.

I've lived here in Athens for the most part. Well, to be fair, it's more a suburb of the city, but it's home, and getting to the heart of town is easy enough anyway. I'm a city boy at heart, and while I've really enjoyed the outdoorsy stuff I've had the chance to do, I could never stay anywhere that wasn't a major city with any degree of permanency. As nice as the country can be, it's nice to see the hustle and bustle of the city, and sometimes let yourself get swept up in it.

I am pleasant, laid back, and a bit geeky.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a conundrum. A man of eclectic interests and tastes, an occasionally introverted social butterfly. I'm ambitious and a dreamer while keeping my feet firmly on the ground. An idealist meshed with a realist.

And sometimes i am swept away spending a lot of time learning relatively useless skills.

I can juggle, do a rubiks cube, and swim like a dolphin. I also learn interesting things things like foreign languages and evolutionary psychology.
I’m really good at
Trivia, games of all sorts, problem solving. I've been told I'm a good listener, an intuitive learner, and I have a knack for reading while walking. Related to that last one; avoiding obstacles using little but my peripheral vision. Assorted other things. References available upon request, or so I'm told. >.>
The first things people usually notice about me
"Where are his pants?"

Then they notice my eyes, usually. It's weird how that works.

I used to have a very casual approach to life, but lately I've taken a much more can-do, let's get the fuck out there and do it attitude. I guess this can be exhausting for some people, but that's a pretty good indicator that you just aren't going to do well around me. It might not always get me where I want to go, but it usually lands me somewhere pretty interesting.

I can usually tell if someone will enjoy spending time around me within the first few minutes I've met them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books, how could i ever do them justice in here? They are invaluable treasures, even those that are considered ''bad'' written, in my personal preference that is, at least. Literally- see what i did there? - One of the biggest parts of my life, both as a huge interest of mine and my choice of making a living, okay to name (more than a) few:

Brave New World, The Great Gatsby, A Space Odyssey, War And Peace, The Interpretation Of Dreams, Being And Nothingness, Don Quixote, 1984, The Iliad, The Divine Comedy, The Trial, The Lord Of The Rings and whichever else i can get my hands on from Tolkien. I've got a surplus of amazing books, but not the supply of free time to read them all. So they sit on my bookshelves looking pretty.

Movies:

I like action movies, or ones with really good and developed universes, historical ones, zombie- post apocalyptic, martial arts movies especially those starring Bruce Lee and many many more.

District 9, The Usual Suspects, The Dark Knight, WALL-E, The Incredibles, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Fight Club, American History X, Seven, High Fidelity, Monty Python.

I don't watch TV too much, but I do enjoy it when I get the chance! The Big Bang Theory, Twin Peaks, Game of Thrones, Dexter, these off the top of my head right now, before this whole thing becomes a super market shopping list.

Music you say?

I'll listen to just about any kind of music, though I have an affinity for classic rock, particularly from the 60s and 70s. I'll listen to just about anything.

From metal to traditional Cretan folk songs (heritage kicked in here), some instrumental, I'm really not hard to please. I also have a soft spot for classical music, in particular I can always wrap my head around some good Bach or Mozart. Seriously, anything. Music is the perfect fit, equal partner to books for me.

As for food, I'll eat just about anything. While i admit my ''weakness'' is Greek cuisine of course, there are quite a few things you could set in front of me and see me refuse to eat (or even run away and hide from specific smells). Still, not too picky.

Anything that reminds me of Cthulu is out, though.
The six things I could never do without
Just six? Oh well... i guess

Sense of humour.
The Internet.
Pen and Paper.
Friends.
Books.
Intelligence.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. I'm a thinker and planner.

Even when I go somewhere, I always have directions pre-planned. I think ahead, and try to plan for all occurances. I like being prepared, but I still have moments of spontaneity, though! (this usually leads to me getting lost, but hey it's an adventure)

Besides the practical, I also think about what the future can hold, for everyone on this planet. Technology is advancing at an alarming pace, we can do the best we can to keep up while making sure we don't destroy the place we live on while improving our way of life. It's a precious balance.

Still, I dream of the impractical. Stories dance in my head, dreams give me inspiration. It's amazing how you can create worlds with just your imagination.
On a typical Friday night I am
Open to suggestions.

Being persuaded to go hang out with a group of friends. Usually this implies us going to see a movie, heading to a bar, or playing video games / board games at someone's house.

However, regardless of how it ends, I usually end up back at my place, celebrating my existence.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm afraid of heights (getting really dizzy) and not terribly fond of falling.

You should message me if
You are passionate and intelligent. If you are quirky, and a little weird. If you are looking for someone who's a little bit of a dreamer.

You're insatiably curious, have a passion you'd like to share, and want to have fun trying new things together.

So, I'd love to hear from you if anything I've said piqued your interest, or if you have something random to comment on.
