I am very, very silly, and kind of adorable..

My Self-Summary

Hello, my name is Stevo. People call me that because it is my name, and I really don't see anything too funny about it. I like it because it sounds like DEVO, and if you also like Devo, then you're alright in my book. If not, well, you're still probably pretty cool.

I'm a recluse that hangs to life by listening to tragically loud music, creating tragically loud music.

What I’m doing with my life

I spend most of my time recording music. It started off as something to do with my free time, and has become kind of a habit.

I tour around the country a few months out of the year performing. It's stressful, exhausting but it's a damn fine living.

I’m really good at

I'm really good at recreating things in ways that please or entertain me.

I'm also great at conversations with anybody. It's part of my job where I have to be able to talk to anybody about whatever. Not like customer service or anything, but like ... I get paid to walk around and talk to strangers. I'll tell you more about that later.

The first things people usually notice about me

My glasses and hair. I can't really speak too much about this one because ... like, how would I REALLY know what the first thing somebody else would notice about me, you know?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, American Gods, John Hodgman, Geek Love

TV: Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Office, Venture Brothers

Movies: The 7 Faces of Dr. Lao, Watchmen, Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?, The Elephant Man

Music: Tom Waits, David Bowie, Danny Michel, the Magnetic Fields, eels

Food: Meat & Potatoes (possibly with onions), Choco Tacos

The six things I could never do without

- 40 lbs. of bike chains
- half of a grilled cheese sandwich (cold)
- seam ripper
- air freshner that smells like lilac
- VHS copy of PURPLE RAIN
- the bottom half of the Black Dalia

I spend a lot of time thinking about

On a typical Friday night I am

Probably playing a show, or working on/with one in some way or another. I like performing. It's just something to keep my mind creative in some way.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

My last girlfriend was transsexual, that's how/why I consider myself bi. I don't just date based on looks or whatever. There's no point in being so shallow you can't be open to dating anybody if you enjoy being around them so much, you know?

You should message me if

...You have the slightest interest to. I just like getting mail.

Bonus points if you know who the following people are:
- Klaus Nomi
- Jonathon Richman
- Kaspar Hauser
- Rik Mayall
