My self-summary
I'm a 26 year old transplant living in the Seattle area. I moved up here from Kansas City a year and a half ago, and while the PNW isn't all that different, it's nice to know that the whole world isn't as flat as the Midwest.

Some personality check boxes (or red flags?) would be that I'm socially liberal, outgoing, love to travel to new places, sadly self-aware that I'm a picky eater and can't help it, and really enjoy getting to know new, interesting people.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm like a much less exciting version of Batman, in that I'm a Software Engineer by day and an Indie/Folk Musician at night. If I played piano, I could make terrible computer keyboard/music keyboard puns, but instead I play guitar and sing. One of my resolutions last year was to put out an album, and I *just* published it around the new year.
I’m really good at
Let's see - I am good at keeping up my end of a conversation, switching between a goofy and dry sense of humor, and being social. I am also pretty good when it comes to computers and anything tech-y. Also, I really like wordplay and puns, so I hope that floats your boat. I'm also an expert at watching Netflix instead of going to bed and regretting it the next morning.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm outgoing, funny (or try to be), loyal to my friends, and I am very social!

The six things I could never do without
My guitar (it was my Dad's until he gave it to me, so call me sentimental there),
my cat Rupert,
a decent wheat beer,
KU Basketball,
DVR (I like shows but I'm never around when they air),
and my computer.

I would have said my friends, but friends aren't things...are they?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Traveling and other cultures. I took 5 years of German, and spent the last two years teaching myself French after work. My aunt is also a flight attendant, so if I go through the pain of flying standby I can get to most places on the cheap.

However, since I don't have unlimited vacation time, I've been pretty content exploring from Seattle to Portland and taking day trips here and there.
On a typical Friday night I am
Definitely varied! Lately, I've spent a lot of nights playing music around town, whether it's a paid gig or an open mic. Others are playing board games, video games, going to movies, writing, etc., but I don't always do the same thing.

Some Friday-through-weekend activities could be playing music/videogames/board games, geocaching, hiking, going out on the town, day trips to explore more of the northwest, you name it!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love getting to know people but I'm horrible with remembering names the first time I meet someone.

I also promise you I will forget where I parked my car when leaving a movie theater and seeing a gigantic parking lot.
