Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! I'm Gilian. Welcome to my profile.
People say that I'm insightful, creative, quirky, and kind.
I can be a little frazzled at first, but that's mostly because I
try to be as genuine as possible, which can take a minute with new
I enjoy connection - especially when it's unexpected. And I'm
committed to self-discovery, trying new things, and continuously
opening my mind.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a branding and communications strategist at a creative agency.
We do design, art direction, writing, and production across media
(digital, social, print) and live experiences. It's a crazy
beautiful, challenging and inspiring place to work - mostly because
of the people.
My background and passion though, is in art. I studied art history
in school and have worked in a bunch of contemporary galleries and
museums over the years. I also did a traveling artist residency
program this summer that road tripped around major works of land
art, national parks, and small quirky towns throughout the desert
in the southwest.
On that note - I love to travel. Other favorites include a solo
journey down the Mexican Riviera, and one with a friend to an
ecolodge in Ecuador's Amazon Rainforest.
Likewise - and like many people on here - I like exploring local
restaurants and bars, markets and shops, music and art spaces.
Finding things that excite and inspire me.
I'm lucky to have a great community of friends and family, who I
really value and tend to spend lots of time with - particularly
over potlucks and live music.
I also spend a lot of energy bringing new life into my home and
rearranging what already exists here.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Mindfulness, and where I'm bringing my life next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Atypical nights are preferred.
But I guess I'm usually out with friends at a restaurant, bar,
dance party, or hearing live music.
Sometimes i'm home cooking and relaxing with a movie or book.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are open minded, patient, passionate, considerate, driven,
excited about life, and love exploring.
Hopefully you love to teach others about your hobbies, and learn in
the same respect. You love a challenge and adventure.
You're one of those people who'd give the shirt off your back to
someone you care about. And if you can't do that, at least you can
communicate openly about it.
You understand the beauty of personal space, but are also looking
to make room for someone you connect with now.
You know and are willing to be truly yourself when we meet
in-person. Let's not waste time pretending to be some ideal of what
we may think the other wants.
Oh and IMPORTANTLY, you can make me laugh.
