My self-summary Propose an edit

I was born in the first NHS hospital in the world. My eyes are green and my hair is a mess. My cat has social anxiety disorder (and so have I - I'm working on it though). I also have a sexually-frustrated rabbit, a baby Herman's tortoise called Volodja and a super-speedy hamster called Dmitri.

I am an introverted, atheist, left-wing, short-sighted, obsessive-compulsive, autistic misanthropist.

My main interests are modern history and natural history. I've been obsessed with history for as long as I can remember. I used to sit under the kitchen table reading books about the 1665 Plague and drawing pictures of Roman soldiers. I also had a cat named after Henry VIII. As I've got older, I'm more into 20th century European history and 19th century British history. I still want to go back to Pompeii eventually though.

I go to museums whenever I can and I like collecting old postcards, maps and prints. Sometimes I go for walks, taking pictures and looking for squirrels to photograph.

I'm at university reading history, in my second year (of three) now. I'm mostly studying WWII and Nazism, but also 19th century society.

I also run a website (forum) for people with Aspergers Syndrome and Autism.

I'm really good at Propose an edit

I don't feel good enough at any of the things I'm good at.

People tell me I'm good at drawing, but I'm usually never satisfied with anything I draw.

Writing has always been my strongest ability. That and history. And if you combine the two... writing about history is probably what I'm best at :)

Books... History-related books, especially anything about the Second World War...

...but I also like Dracula, Moonfleet, I am a Cat, The Pianist, Death and the Penguin, Crime and Punishment, The Suicide Club, Catcher in the Rye and Choke

Movies... American History X, Gangs of New York, Hero, Fight Club, Reservoir Dogs, Phone Booth, 28 Days Later, Enemy at the Gates, Imaginary Heroes

Music... Rammstein and Radiohead are my favourite bands. I like a lot really, from Emily Haines to Mr. Bungle, but I mostly listen to industrial and metal.

Food... I'll admit I eat too much junk. And I love fried rice and chips from the Chinese. With salt and vinegar.

Video games... I thought I'd add this in. Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII, The Legend of Zelda, Fifa. I have a Nintendo Wii and a PS2

At home, either reading or online. Sometimes listening to music. And if the weather's not too bad, in the garden.

Note: I pretty much never go out on a Friday night. If you're looking for a social person who'll go to bars and clubs with you, you're probably looking at the wrong profile :P
