I am laid-back, talkative, and content.
My Self-Summary
My name is not, in fact, Gino Molinari. This isn't Facebook, and so
that's probably not such a surprise.
However, much kudos to anyone who happens to know who Gino Molinari
happens to be.
I'm interested in most things, even if I might not necessarily know
all that much about them. I talk quite a lot too, hopefully in the
right circumstances.
I have a strong desire to talk to someone who is regarded by this
website as "100% Enemy" relative to myself. Possibly more so than
in the case of a "100% Match/Friend". The idea of a "100% Enemy"
really rather intrigues me.
Nihilism comes fairly naturally to me, and I'm fairly reluctant to
completely believe in anything much. But I like ethics, as ethical
behaviour seems to provide everyone with much less hassle. Except
in the case of theatre or literature, which would mostly be
extremely dull if everyone went around behaving ethically.
More recently, I tend to talk about myself less, as I suspect that
should anyone be interested, they'll no doubt ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Figuring out what may or may not be happening to global energy
markets (aka work), playing a bit of five-a-side football, or
lurking in Hackney somewhere with a beer or two, talking about
something or other.
Respecting the Worm Lady, in case anyone knows who she is.
Or alternatively wrestling with a collection of far too many
MP3s.
Recently had several weekends largely wiped out by the
tequila-purchasing tendencies of a good friend of mine.
I’m really good at
Over-analysis. Doesn't help that my work involves being paid to
analyse things, but it's kind of fun all the same, in a way.
The first things people usually notice about me
I wouldn't know, as I've never asked anyone.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I'll try to avoid giant lists at this point. As I'd no doubt forget
all the important stuff anyway.
Having said that, it's kinda fun browsing those lists and seeing
really obscure stuff that you regard really highly. And then the
inevitable disappointment that the creator of that same list likes
all sorts of (in your opinion) complete junk, and you suspect they
might be a moron. And by association, you start to wonder if
perhaps you too might be a moron.
I may, should I ever reach a stage where I can fit it all in my
head at the same time, make such a list. And await the shrill cries
of "Moron! Are you Boris Johnson in disguise?" or something equally
demoralising.
But until then: I've been reading a lot of Philip K Dick lately,
Apocalypse Now always seems to stick in the mind, and David Bowie
seems to have crept into my Winamp playlist a lot recently.
As for food, i'm fairly omnivorous. But anything from around the
Mediterranean suits me just fine. Especially if seafood is somehow
involved.
The six things I could never do without
I like to travel light.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...whether one's refusal to believe in anything at all could be
considered a form of belief in itself.
On a typical Friday night I am
...out somewhere in London, taking it easy.
You should message me if
...you find any of the above interesting at all. I'm always up for
a chat.
