My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
ABOUT ME: My last name is Jolly, and that’s pretty much me. For the most part, I believe that if you’re not happy you’re not living, so I always look for a solution to a problem, and if there’s not a solution, I’ll put a positive spin on it. For instance, when my kids got to know other kids on our cruise over spring break and I hardly saw them for the week, I spent the time basking in the sun while floating on the Pacific Ocean...didn't matter that everyone else on the ship was either married with kids or twenty-something years old...my kids and I always had dinner together on the ship. ;) Although I’ve taught just about every grade, I now have found my home teaching high school Special Ed. I find it rewarding, and best of all, I have a captive audience for all my rants. ;) I have a lot of patience, whether it be for my students, or for my kids, who are about to start World War 3 over which side of the couch they want to sit on-- I often feel like I’m a one-woman United Nations, and I’m okay with that! I’m quite affectionate, and if I can’t reach you for a ‘real person’ hug, you may be getting an emoji one on your phone. If we were together, I’d make an effort to have fun. Whether it be bowling or going to the zoo, staying in to watch Netflix or cooking my signature lasagna together, we’d be glowing from laughter and enjoying each other’s company. Sound nice? Now all we have to do is meet. :)

ABOUT MY DATE: You’re trustworthy. You keep in touch, even if it’s just a text message. You’re financially stable, and are able to enjoy some vacation time. (If you’re a teacher—even better! We can plan for summer now that spring break has come and gone.) You’re good with kids, and understand that mine are a big part of my life. You’re affectionate, and give great hugs when I’ve had a bad day, or rub my shoulders when it’s been a long week (I’ll happily do the same for you). You have a good sense of humor, and understand sarcasm—you can match me, and throw a few witty comments back my way. You’re intellectually curious. You value education and probably have some post-secondary experience. Free Sunday? Let’s go down to LA, walk around the LACMA, and check out one of their jazz concerts, or just come over and take turns on the elliptical that I just built. Long weekend? Let’s go up the coast to Santa Barbara, maybe get a massage, then retire early to our hotel to have a nice ‘leisurely’ night in. ;) Or, if we’re feeling extra ambitious, let’s take a dream trip to Paris to enjoy baguettes and wine while exploring the Eiffel Tower. Whatever the case, when we’re together, the time seems to slip by as we laugh and soak up each other’s company.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I teach high school special education. It brings new challenges every day...always keeps me on my toes, along with raising my two boys (12 & 15)...they do a pretty good job of keeping me on my toes as well! lol
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Pretty much anything I set my mind to. I love to cook and bake, but you have to do the dishes. ;-)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile and my eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I don't have a lot of time to read, most of what I read is regarding curriculum for my class. When I can, I love going to musicals in LA. The last one I saw was "In the Heights," with a group of girlfriends for my birthday a couple years ago. It's been too long!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Coffee in the morning (I think that first sip may possibly be my favorite thing), my phone, my computer, my two wonderful boys, my dog, and my friends and family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What needs to get done.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depends on whether or not I have my kids!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I know it might be difficult to believe, but I am not perfect. ;)
