The first thing I look at on a man is...his...smile! I want to see a warm, genuine smile that makes your eyes smile too. It immediately makes me feel welcome and relaxed. Trust me, I'll be smiling right back!
I'm often told that my pictures don't do me justice. I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm an attractive woman, and I think I take pretty good pics. But there's something about me that apparently doesn't come through in a picture. I'm the type of person that others naturally want to be around. I'm fun, nice, and genuine. I've been told I have an infectious laugh. I like being around people that I'm close with. I have several close friends in my life and we keep in touch even if we can't see each other.
A question that is often asked on a first date is "What are you looking for?" To avoid that awkwardness, I'll tell you right now. I want a man I feel safe with. A man that makes me feel so comfortable that I am completely myself, and I can get lost in you. Believe me, you won't be disappointed. I want a man that will help me plunge my garbage disposal before we go out on a date. If you run in to get a cup of coffee, you get one for me just because, without even asking. You walk on the street side of the sidewalk, and never let me walk to my door alone. A man that does things like this just because that's who he is naturally. I know that chivalry is not dead. I see it all the time. Opening the car door should be a given, and I will even do it for you if I'm driving! I want a man that can carry on a conversation. I can talk with just about anyone but you have to be able to hold your end of the conversation, and it should just flow. Our conversations will have so much laughter that our sides hurt! A man who isn't just a texter...it works to talk into also! Something I love though, is a text in the morning just so I know you were thinking about me when you woke up. It starts my day off perfectly. A man that can't keep his hands off of me, and is comfortable with PDA...I will happily take a kiss anywhere! (Speaking of kissing, that is one of my most favorite things to do and I've been told I'm quite good. ;) ) Ideally I want a relationship with a man who is involved in my life and I in his. To be his girlfriend. Don't worry, I'm not looking to just jump into something, but it also doesn't take more than a few months to know if this is the right person to be involved with...not necessarily to spend the rest of our lives together, but to know that we're a couple and express it to our friends.
I'm the type of person that looks back when I walk through a door to make sure to hold it for the next person coming. That gives the extra couple dollars if the person in front of me in line at the grocery store is a bit short. That stops on the road when I see a stray dog to make sure it doesn't get hit and finds it's way to a safe place.
My dog loves to go with me to get the mail...stopping at her favorite places along the way. My kids can proudly say that their mom makes the best chocolate chip cookies in the world! (If you're lucky, I'll make them for you sometime.)
I can be found karaokeing with my friends and dancing the night away one night, and sitting at home with a movie rental the next. I've even been known to scuba dive in Catalina once or twice. I am genuine, caring, and compassionate. I am not afraid to be vulnerable and express my feelings, and I would expect the same in my boyfriend. I can plan a mean bar mitzvah, and love cooking a romantic dinner for two. (What is your favorite meal?) I am very sensual and sexual, and feel that sex is an important part of a relationship, however, I'm not looking to jump into the sack with anyone.
My job as a special ed teacher sends me new challenges every day! I just have to stop and laugh at things because there is so much going on and if I took things too seriously I'd lose it! I love working with the kids I do...they really are special (in a good way)!
I have a big extended family. I'm the oldest of 4 girls and we try to get together often. Family gatherings are chaotic and fun...we laugh and the kids play.
Life is an interesting ride. I have fun and enjoy as much of it as I can. If it sends me disappointments, I am sad, but I know that something better is around the corner. I always try to be positive, and I believe that you get what you give. The things most worth having in life are worth taking a risk for, and if something is meant to be, it will.
In an alternate universe ;) , I'm traveling the world as an opera singer. What are you doing?
I've learned that if someone tells you something about who they are, believe them...we (hopefully) know ourselves best.
We all have a little bit of crazy...it's just a matter of finding the crazy that goes with yours!
**Should we exchange numbers, please don't send any pornographic pics until we are officially a couple, then I will love them!**
