I'm bright, funny, loyal, loving, enthusiastic, a good mum, and I am curious about pretty much everything. I'm best when I'm happy, and I like people who are engaged with the world and everything in it.

I am very conscious that time is slipping by, and there are so many things I still want to do. Ever feel like that?

Trying to work out the meaning. Starting to train as a psychotherapist, learning to rock climb, swimming, contemplating the long dark night of the soul, raising a boy, watching my crow's feet develop, hoping for a decent summer, planning to go to Thailand this Christmas to teach English to children other than my own, thinking I should write a blog, learning to cook, acquiring shoes.

I'm also working on starting a business, but I don't like to jinx it by talking about it ;)

making bread and vanilla cupcakes. Other non vanilla things. Fixing other people's problems but not my own, hypothesising, making a virtue of being disorganised, dressing glamorously, empathising, talking/ranting about anything/everything, dancing all night, laughing, being cynical, daydreaming.

eyes, curves, confidence. Apparently my hair has quite a few fans too, based on recent feedback. It is very long. You can't date my hair without me though.

I tend to read a lot of psychology books these days. My fave fiction books are probably: The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Lolita, The Story of O, Pride and Prejudice, Fight Club, A Room With A View, and lots of poetry, mainly the romantics/post-romantics and 20th C stuff like Neruda, Lanston Hughes, Elizabeth Bishop..

Movies- It's a Wonderful Life, Wizard of Oz, anything with Cagney or Bogie, Gilda, Withnail & I, Eternal Sunshine, 80's kids movies (Labyrinth, Goonies etc), Trois couleurs bleu, Butterfield 8, How to marry a Millionaire, Alien, Terminator, Die Hard, Ferris Bueller's day off, Swingers, City of God..

I actually don't have a TV subscription or license any more, so I just see the odd thing on playback. I believe TV drains your soul and mind, and wastes valuable hours of your life. I do like some programmes though, usually ones which are inventive in some way eg Sopranos, Sherlock, Ashes to Ashes, Death in Paradise (a guilty pleasure), Twin Peaks, Mad Men, Sharpe (anything with Sean Bean- I adore him), Sex and the City, Black Mirror.

Music- Jazz, Blues, Easy listening, rock, pop, dance. I'm not terribly musical, I just enjoy a good tune/song/beat.

Food- Lebanese, Moroccan, Middle Eastern, Persian, North African, Spanish. Sushi!

I also love dancing (of all kinds) and art (Pre-Raphaelites are my passion but love all art)

Cocktails and dancing with girlfriends, going on a date, having Friday film night with my son, having some alone time or catching up with friends.. on Sundays of course, it's all Songs of praise ;)

I have no sense of direction

You like conversation, fun, and can talk about anything and everything. You're clever, feminist, adventurous, strong yet sweet (think Clark Kent!). You want to look after someone as much as they look after you.
You are ultimately looking for something more meaningful than a string of dates and booty calls.
You aren't a big man-baby looking for me to fix you, you aren't miles away or married, you like me, think I sound cool and want to know about me.
You understand that I am a single parent and that I have managed (and can manage) that, and that yes, this does complicate things a little, but you can take it in your stride and enjoy it.

and/or, you are Daniel Craig and your entire wardrobe has been stolen, except those tiny blue shorts you wore in Casino Royale ;)
