My Self-Summary

O.K. so I might be a bit of a sucker for the occasional social networking sight. I'm in sort of a life transition (a positive one for sure) and coming to terms with who I am and what I want for a change. Not typically midwestern, read on and you'll see what I mean, bit I fell I'm just a mostly regular guy. I got tired of feeling I had to choose what side I wanted to be on (politically, socially,sexually), so I've decided to just let it go where it's going to on its own. As long as I am up-front, and careful, seems there shouldn't be an issue right? I can be a little picky, but certainly not unreasonable when it comes to partners. No matter what, I'll be nice, that's just my nature.

What I’m doing with my life

Now, on a lighter note, I'm a musician, yes. I'm also in a period of transition career-wise, getting into the IT field. School has taken my time the past several months, with the job starting soon (none too soon!!) and the future looks bright. I'm not looking for anything too serious right now. I was in a long term relationship that ended 6 months ago, so it's done, but at the same time I could use a breather.....you know what I'm saying.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Not a huge reader, but I like non-fiction, science fiction, some thrillers...people hand me stuff. Movies: Spinal Tap, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, A Mighty Wind.....Sci-Fi almost anything, even crap (yeah I'll admit it) Citizen Cane, On the Waterfront...again, people hand me stuff. No dancing movies!! I don't know why. Don't think it's the dancing so much as they just usually suck. Musicals are another I'm not really into, I like playing in the band for them (got to do a production of West Side Story once) but not so much on the watching......maybe live but definitely not on the small screen. Music: Anything as long as it's not over produced mainstream schlock in ANY genre. I don't want to sound like a snob, I'm not, but there is some stuff out there that I believe we can all agree is crap. Food: Everything except raw celery.

The six things I could never do without

Drums, Candy, Drums, Friends, Drums, Sex--I tried this once, in my last relationship, because I thought it was virtuous, it's only frustrating. I can go for a while if necessary, I'm not a giant slut or anything, but........

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What I'm doing now, What's coming next, where it might lead, and where I would eventually like to be. Oh, that and geeky science stuff, yeah and philosophy too.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either playing a show or looking for something to do. I wind up on the internet a lot trying to download and watch movies for free.....failing......e-mailing....youtubing.......this. In fact I'm filling this out on a Friday evening. But I'm not pathetic damnit!

Well, I've already admitted to being bi on the internet where anyone can see it......I've kept that private for a long time.
