I always seem to be straddling worlds. I get up early, but stay up late. I like 'in' but have a blast '‘out’. I like to run and I like to read. I want to laugh, and have fun, but can be serious and practical. I’m looking for someone similar. I want to meet a woman that is equally content spending a day hiking to the top of a mountain, as she is kicking an evening with randoms at a pub, as she would just spending some quiet time alone with me curled up on a couch.
I’m really good at
Getting excited about mundane things, ignoring everyone and
everything else to wrestle with a dog, telling really great
stories, being involved in strange and unbelievable events,
running, going off on random tangents, making snap decisions,
putting my foot in my mouth, chess, reading, talking to everybody
and everyone, sitting 'indian style', being oblivious. . . .
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love historical fiction and I have a weakness for airplane novels, especially anything by Dean Koontz. I get on a occasional classical kick but really, I read everything and anything...
Favorite Movie: Conan the Barbarian. (Yes, I'm serious.)
Shows: Psych, Archer, Bojack Horseman, Californication, Newsroom, Game of Thrones, Banshee, and of course, John Oliver.
Music: Classic rock, 80's, Indy Rock, Alternative, and yes, I have a weakness for pop on occasion. I can get into anything but no house or industrial.
Food: I live for good southwestern. I'm always willing to give a new place a try and love dragging people to some of my favorites. If not out, then on the grill, on the stove, something new or something classic. I hate to clean, but love to cook.
The six things I could never do without
Food, Friends, Dog, Family, Books, and an idea of the Absurd
On a typical Friday night I am
Out! or In! Honestly, I'm cool either way.
