My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
People say I should have been born in another era...and they realize I would have still been a huge nerd, and then they ask me to help them understand what Just War Theory by St. Thomas Aquinas would mean in the context of modern public policy decisions...which eventually degrades to a discussion concerning my lackluster performance in the last game of Cards Against Humanity. If you are still reading this, and still are able to hold down your bile,I congratulate you on passing Learning About This Weird Guy 101.

INTJ, for those in the know.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently the Director of Forensics at CUNE (Yes, this means that I train the little minions who may run this country one day). I could not ask for a better job, to be honest.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, writing, speaking about very esoteric topics on short notice(with enough sleep and caffeine), and trying things to see if I am good at them...with a few disastrous/YouTube worthy failures mixed in for good measure.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I am someone who is typically in the back corner, talking with a small group of people, or just simply people watching. It's not that I am being awkward on purpose, promise!

Physically.....typically my size (big and tall people typically stand out), and then my ridiculous comb-over that I sport as necessary.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Disclaimer: This is by no means a complete list...I can be random/vague with my habits at times, and I think this list shows that in crippling detail...

Film/TV: For movies, I am pretty eclectic in my tastes, other than rom-coms (sorry ladies). In the realm of TV, I defer to a lot of British shows like Mock The Week and Sherlock. Other shows that I have/still watch with some frequency include Game of Thrones, Burn Notice, and most documentary shows (other than shows by that accursed network, the History Channel).

Books: 1984, most public policy and communication books (still read those as part of my job), and quite a few techno-thrillers from the 80s and 90s.

Music: Anything from the 60s-80s, a few modern bands thrown in to help knock off the cobwebs. I used to listen to country a lot...but now that I live somewhere where it is not the only good music, I have branched out a bit.

Food: I am pretty chill with most foods, although I have a hate/hate relationship with salads (other veggie arrangements are just fine with me).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, debate/discourse, food and drink (should they count as one item?), sleep, the internet, and the BBC (for news and good shows).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Anything...I can be pretty random.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually judging/coaching a debate or forensics tournament, or working on assignments for the courses I teach. This is NOT every weekend, so I do try to have a life on my weekends off as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Disclosure would not make the thing private anymore, would it?

If this rather shoddy profile is interesting enough to spark your attention. I know, pretty low threshold, but it is the biggest one to hurtle.

I am someone who supports the notion that either person can start contact, so dive in, and I will talk back!!
