My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think I am a fun person to be around. I have a good sense of humor and I love to laugh. I'd like to think I'm an outgoing guy but I'm also sensitive at times and I appreciate my alone time. I'm inquisitive about the world and the people around me and I'm always in search of the next adventure. I enjoy being with good friends, drinking good beer and having meaningful, intellectual (or at least semi-intellectual) conversations.
I love sports and being active. Until this past year I have played football (soccer) at a high amateur level, having just recently had to give it up because of failing knees. Now its all about swimming. Traveling has probably been the biggest passion of my life. I've been all over the world and have experienced several different cultures. I believe I only have one shot at life on this planet so I figure I'd better see as much of it as I can!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've lived in Shanghai for five years now. At first the plan was to spend two or three years in China and then move somewhere else in the world. But in the time I've spent here, I've really come to appreciate Chinese culture and the lifestyle that this amazing city has afforded me. Whenever I'm around family, the question is always the same: "when are you moving back home?" I struggle with this question because not only is it difficult to plan my life one year at a time, I'm now not even sure where "home" is anymore. So I guess I'm just taking it all day by day and right now I'm loving every minute!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Adapting to new situations. This has really allowed me to feel comfortable in so many different places. I think its good to love where you are!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really have no clue, but I hope its something positive!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My favorite movie of all time has to be The Graduate. I still don't think I've ever seen a film that I can relate to on that level. Rounding out my top three would be City of God and The Shawshank Redemption.
The best book I've ever read is called "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" by David Eggers. If you've read this book and felt it, you know why. If not, read it!
Can't even begin listing my music tastes, it would take all day.
Food must be spicy or I won't eat it. Seriously, I have a problem.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
A jian bing in the morning
My iPod
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Too many things. I think a lot.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably having drinks with friends. I work hard during the week so Fridays are tough for me to rally and go big. A few beers at the pub and then home for a good movie works for me.

You are in Shanghai and looking for someone to get to know better. Please don't message if you are just somewhere else in Asia. Sorry, just not interested...
