Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a great guy with a big heart -- and goofy at times. I've also
been called "a bit peculiar"; which is fun to say so I'll proudly
own that trait. I live my life by the good ol' "Golden Rule" as
often as possible.
I am a hardcore INTJ Myers-Britts personality type... which is
generally refered to as "The Mastermind". That's awesomely ominous.
Tywin Lanister is an INTJ, too, so take that for what it's
- I prefer socializing in low key settings.
- I hold doors open for everyone.
- I always tip service workers.
- I also like lists
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in video game development as a hybrid game designer,
engineer, producer, and development director. My official job title
is "Senior Game Designer" but my unofficial one is "Opinionated
Excel Guru Who Cracks the Whip Often".
Been working in video games for ~10 years now; still love it -
probably a good sign as successful career choice!
I also work a LOT. Going 60 - 70 hours per week isn't unusual...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Excel. Seriously. REALLY good at it.
I know, spreadsheet skills are probably the hottest thing you've
read on a profile. xD
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
These are good "getting to know you" topics so I'll just drop in a
couple for each category (and add games):
Game: League of Legends, Summoners War, EverQuest, WoW, and God of
Movie: The Neverending Story, Dogma, and Contact
Show: MasterChef, Space/Science-related Documentaries, All the
Stargate Series, Game of Thrones, etc.
Music: Tool, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Gojira
Food: Chipotle. I love Chipotle... and trying to recreate delicious
dishes by Gordon Ramsay
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I do randomly think about the sheer size of the universe and just
how microscopic Earth is by comparison.
Also I wonder why OkCupid thinks all of my matches are in
Pennsylvania / New York / North Carolina. Wtf?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing video games or out with friends doing dinner / drinks /
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I found a Black Widow trapped inbetween a window screen and the
window -- instead of killing it, I named her "Drachnia" and
dribbled some sugary water on the screen so prey would come her
She eventually stopped running and hiding whenenver I turned the
light on, too. BFFs.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're a kind person at your core, intelligent, funny, nearby and
being a fellow gamer is a big plus! Awesome spelling skills and
grammar wouldn't hurt, either.
Please, please, please no "Hey, what's up?" or similar messages. I
appreciate it when people make the effort to introduce themselves.
Who are you looking for?
This helps us know who to show you on OkCupid.
