My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Geology grad student. Randy Marsh is my spirit animal. I prefer quiet Saturday nights with wine and friends or stargazing. But I'm also down for some weekend extroversion.

I can become passionate about anything and become hyper focused on it. That is why I'm in grad school. If you're curious, I'm studying geology.

Traveling speaks deeply to my soul. I have always felt the urge to experience the world from many different perspectives. My whole life has been in flux, I've been traveling since I was twelve for school and work. I moved to Kalamazoo in September 2013, and I've found a good home here....for now.

I'm looking for someone who genuinely enjoys life, has a wide sense of humor, an open mind, and can nerd out over anything.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently pursuing a masters degree in geology at Western Michigan University.

I moved to Kalamazoo in September 2013 to be away from home. After spending a year traveling, moving back in with my parents was not an option. I still love them though.

Going hiking, camping, biking and stargazing are part of my summer plans.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Mountain biking and talking about science. Given the time and resources, I can do either one for hours....or simultaneously!

My friends tell me I'm good at seeing things from all perspectives.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That would depend on the person doing the noticing.

People have noticed my obnoxiously red and gold Harry potter scarf while walking across campus. Some people say I have a friendly approachable demeanor.

There's usually a goofy smile on my face after learning something awesome in class.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.) The ability to memorize random things: really helps with trivia night and geology exams!
2.) My active imagination: keeps me from getting bored.
3.) My family and friends all over the US: I wish I had more time to talk to all of them.
4.) My Car: a trusty travel companion...and primary means of travel
5.) The Internet: how else would OkCupid exist!?
6.) My laptop: for research
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How as living organisms, we are the universe experiencing itself. How I'll never step foot on Mars, but my great grandchildren might.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working and studying. The grad life is totally fun!

But when I have free time I am at Bell's or the Beer Exchange.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I went to a hippie boarding school in the deep South. I used to hide rum in a removable soap caddy in my dorm room shower. They never caught me!
