I am skeptical, tactical, and impatient.

My Self-Summary

I have trouble spelling infinite. Is it because I'm an atheist? Probably.

I'm a sarcastic, skeptical, saucy wench who still longs for the transcendent. I can also be pretentious (see previous sentence).

I'm learning how to balance living in the now with my impatience.

In spite of being an atheist, I believe people's instincts are rarely wrong.

I look at dating as an experiment. I was going to write a joke about beakers, but my friend told me it was too phallic.

I tend to like nice guys, but it isn't really getting me anywhere. I'm struggling with the issue of women asking out men. My brain says it's fair and no problem. My gut says men need to do the pursuing and if they don't pursue, they're not interested. What do you think?

Hobbies include: singing, playing the ukulele, taking pictures, writing, listening to talk radio, traveling, movies, occasionally throwing out the surplus of shiny things I buy when I'm sad.

What I’m doing with my life

Not enough. I'm working on working on this.

I'd like to be a rich crime writer who has a side career as a ukulele rock star.

Until that takes off, I'm not sure what I'm doing. I'm not sure if I should pursue a fulfilling but stressful career or have a job that ensures I don't starve while pursuing my hobbies in my off-time.

I’m really good at

Being sarcastic and skeptical, singing, plunking my ukulele, writing, taking pictures.

The first things people usually notice about me

My wit and my freakishly (in a pretty way) blue eyes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Hardcore Zen, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Color Purple.

Movies: Kill Bill(s), Harold & Maude, The Hotel New Hampshire, Ed Wood.

Music: Outsider, Klezmer, Blues, Rock 'n Roll.

Food: Lots of types, really. I like both fine dining and greasy spoon diners.

The six things I could never do without

Space pen, a notebook, my ukulele, a camera, lip balm.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Writing, death, love, sex, work, eggs. I like eggs.

On a typical Friday night I am

Plotting my enemies' destruction, crocheting.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've never been stung by a bee.

You should message me if

You're smart, funny, open-minded, not overly religious, not overly shallow.

If you have a tail, that will help.
