Why is this always the first question? When you're introducing yourself to a group, you're always asked to summarize yourself or what you do. Once I was with a group that had "two truths and a lie" which is where you say three things, two that are true and one that is a lie, and the rest of the group is supposed to guess which is the lie; so I'll try that here:

- I play the guitar rather well
- My grandfather was the artist who drew the design for a local(ish) bottling company
- I am left handed

You're welcome to guess which is the lie if you like.

A quick summary of me;
I'm a computer geek, a gamer, and kind of a big kid. I chase my kids around and make up songs and silly names for them. I tend to act in a rather juvenile fashion around them and my friends. I also am a single and solo parent, so I know how to be adult when necessary; I just don't think that I always need to be.

Trying to enjoy it. I have a good job, children who are only trying to kill each other half the time, and good friends. I can honestly say that I am happy.

Being single, apparently. I'm pretty good at fixing things, too.

My hair. It's still curly even though there is less of it than there used to be.

I like science fiction; lately I've been reading old stuff from the 40s, 50s, and 60s.

I'm not picky about movies; as long as I'm entertained, I'm okay with it.

Shows follow my book tastes: mostly scifi.

For music, I prefer anything with strings. I like guitar; so rock, alternative, metal, etc. I also like classical stringed instruments such as violin, viola, cello, etc., so I have been known to play classical pieces as well, but I'm not well versed in composers or their pieces.

Honestly, it's amazing what one can do without when forced to. I don't think I could go without something that keeps my mind busy, games, reading, etc. Friends and family: while I tend to be a loner and like to have my internal world, I am not really shy or anti-social.

Lately, I've been thinking about the far future and wondering what my life will be like. When my kids move out, will I be left alone?

Usually I'm at home with my family. I am a single and sole parent of two children; I don't have much time to go out.

I'm too honest. In medical situations, I have no modesty. I don't find any question too personal. I only have a very few things that I regret and are difficult to talk about. So, yeah; I'm too honest.

You don't shy away from a man who has children all the time. I would honestly prefer if you have children because it's much easier for you to understand where I'm coming from if you do, but I'm okay if you're interested and you don't have children.
