My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love learning, exploring, and trying to basically live life to the fullest. I've had a crazy life so far- why not keep a good thing going?

World traveler- I've been to Canada, Mexico, India, Gambia (Africa), Hungary, and looking into a trip to Sweden.

Life long learner- TED talks = awesome; academic journals- I want to find one I love and subscribe; google/youtube/kindle- the arch-nemesis to actually going to sleep when I get in bed.

People - I love them. I want them to come hang out at my house. Movies, game nights, or let's all go out on the town. So yeah, people are important to me :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on getting established in my career.

I'm also seeking to be a better humanist, dancer, and human-being. (I swing dance, blues dance, two step, and whatever else is available- I love it!)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
dancing, seeing the good in others, finding little adventures wherever I go, games, sports, and conversation.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm very friendly and genuinely interested in getting to know people and hearing their stories. Some would say I'm funny... ... ... others don't have a sense of humor ;)

Physically speaking people comment on my eyes and my smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books:
If You Give A Mouse a Cookie; Body by Science; Blink; The Tipping Point; The Renaissance of Exercise; A Universe From Nothing; I have a goal to read at least 5 new books a year- small goal, but for this jock, that's a good goal. :)

Movies:
I love most movies but particularly the stories. I love Into the Wild, Parenthood, Up, and lots more.
I love good music and can appreciate almost any form of it. Everything but scream-o. I never have understood that art form. Some of my favorites right now: Joe Bonamassa, John Mayer, Hunter Hayes, Coldplay, Live Blues- I've been on a blues kick lately... and I love checking out live bands. In Amarillo, that means a lot of unheard of talent- which definitely has it's moments!

Shows:
Cosmos, How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy, House of Cards, Game of Thrones... I'm really not a big TV watcher. My regular shows would be limited to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. If you don't enjoy these shows, it's probably not going to work- cause these guys speak to my heart :)

Food:
I do love pizza, although I make a concerted effort to eat healthier foods. I love juicing in my Omega VRT, trying to incorporate superfoods, and sometimes just using common sense (step away from the ice cream!). I'm still looking for the right balance- I travel for work and that makes it more challenging to stick to a meal plan. But I am committed to getting there one day!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Dance parties.

Family gatherings. We play charades, horseshoes, football, and nap-time-after-eating-too-much-food-for-the-holidays. That last game is pretty epic.

Music! Especially live music.

Friends - favorite line from "Into the Wild," "Happiness only real when SHARED" So true.

Jokes. Knock knock?

Science. I know. It's sad. But I love learning and science happens to be the best way to do this- so for my last pick, I have to choose science.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I'm a thinker.

I like thinking about how to make the world a better place, how to make my life better, and how to be a better person.

I'd like to think that one day I might do something to make a huge impact in the world.

I'm a songwriter too- sometimes I write.

I live mulling over the good stuff- life's too rich to miss out- and for me, I experience a lot of joy through intellectual stimulation. A well-timed clever comment MAY just be the way to my heart ;)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
There is no such thing- a good movie, great live bands, game nights... pretty much you'll find me with friends doing something awesome- that's as predictable as it gets :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My favorite song is 'Follow Your Arrow' by Kasey Musgraves- it's mine and a bunch of teenage girls, I'm sure. I can't help it- it's such a good song :)
I’m looking for

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to meet a guy who genuinely loves people, is excited about his life, and patiently waiting for someone to enjoy life together with- just saying... I know a guy like that ;)

PS. I have some freedom with my work schedule, so if you're not nearby, that's not a deal breaker for me- just a good excuse to travel if we hit things off :)
