My self-summary
I'm a true neutral INTP. I usually have at least one book, a notebook and a pen on me.

I think of myself as a story teller; I want to run (write & produce) a sitcom one day, but right now I'm earning my way in post production (editing and visual effects mostly).

My favorite place to be is on set. Backstage is fun too, but I like the set more (craft service doesn't hurt) which is probably why I stayed here instead of moving to New York despite graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

I'm the type of person who would rather walk farther from a parking spot that's easy to park in than stress out trying to squeeze into a spot in front of where I'm going (which is probably part of the reason my idea of "a short walk" is farther than anyone else I know).

I don't eat meat because I don't like the mouth-feel, but I like sea food which makes me a pescetarian, but I usually just tell people vegetarian because most people don't know the difference and it saves a lot of time.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working as an assistant editor for (and on set with) my boss/mentor while building up my own editing and visual effects client base and writing scripts and what-not.

Other than that, I'm just going on a seemingly endless series of mistakes and awkward missteps then stringing them into stories to entertain others. (You know, and taking car of my cat.)
I’m really good at
finding amusing ways to word things, accidentally sounding pretentious, making popcorn on the stove, devouring books, binge watching TV shows

Oh! And procrastinating. I'm an awesome procrastinator.
The first things people usually notice about me
"You're kind of weird..." Yeah, I know; it's part of my charm. ;)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
1984, We, Cat's Cradle, Speaker for the Dead, Handbook of American Prayer, The Handmaid's Tale, The Last Girlfriend on Earth, Sex at Dawn, Les Miserables

Boys and Girls Guide to Getting Down, (500) Days of Summer, Cabin in the Woods, Annie Hall, Living in Oblivion

Community (well, you know, when Dan Harmon is at the reigns), 30 Rock, Doctor Who, Wilfred, The Daily Show, Modern Family, The Americans, HBO (Girls, The Wire, Bored to Death, Game of Thrones, Newsroom, Hello Ladies), Portlandia, SNL, West Wing (although I stopped watching after it became clear Sam Seaborn wasn't coming back)

of Montreal, LCD Soundsystem, Terry Poison, The Blow, Swedish Pop (Icona Pop, Like Swimming, The Deer Tracks), Metronomy, Two Door Cinema Club, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Sondheim, Philip Glass

I have a strange weakness for Fauré Requiem.

I also listen to This American Life, Planet Money, Dan Savage Lovecast and Scriptnotes (and the Nerdist's Writer's Panel, depending on the panel).

Snow crab, salmon, crispy fries, popcorn, pomegranate seeds, edamame, black coffee
The six things I could never do without
I hope I never have to choose between my cat and my laptop, because I'm not sure what I'd do.

I'd really rather not try and go without record player and my small (but growing) record collection.

I'm also rather fond of the internet and my memory foam bed/pillow.

I've grown uncomfortably attached to my iPhone as well.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Participatory economics.

Time. Traffic. Television. Music. How much like my dad I've become. Imaginary video games I'd like to play.

How much better the footage I have to work on would be if I had been on set to save it from its director.

Why are there no vegetarian fast food restaurants?

Why do people put "If I told you, it wouldn't be private anymore!" in their "most private thing" section? Do they think they're being clever? (Have they never read anyone else's profile?)
On a typical Friday night I am
The difference between weekends and weekdays isn't very distinct for me most of the time.

When I have a project, I'm usually working on that. Otherwise, I like to read, watch TV, write and play video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I say "I read about this study...", I usually mean "I read about this study in an article on Cracked..."

I like pineapple on my pizza sometimes.

I don't use the Oxford comma unless it adds to clarity. Sorry if that offends your sensibilities.
I’m looking for

You should message me if
You know, the generic "You want to!" (or if I messaged you already. Haha.)

But especially if you're a Jewish xNFJ working in or around the TV/film industry (or really any one/some combination of the three).
