My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a nerd, geek, whatever you want to call it, and quite proud of it. Sometimes I come across as shy, which then rapidly translates into overly-assertive, but mostly I just am not afraid of speaking my mind. I'm either at 2 or 10 on the enthusiasm scale, never in the middle. Curiosity is my life-blood, with a special blend of international travel.

I am amiable, headstrong, and perceptive.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Being an expat, while rolling along through this weird stabilisation phase that comes after graduation. Why does no one warn you about how awkward this whole section of life is?

I work in web and UX design with a smattering of strategy, which translates to making the internet graphics and features for my employer. When not at work I'm wrangling German, rotating between hobbies and integrating into the Viennese culture.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Asking "Why?" Answering random questions. Problem Solving. Finding the pets at a party before the owners. And giving incredibly honest opinions.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am dorky and shy in person, but generally mean well. Once we start talking though, I am a sponge for information. My friends call me an Encyclopedia, because I just absorb facts and notes and dates and THINGS about the world, in an effort to be able to adapt to every situation possible. I also have 0 tolerance for cruel jokes, and fight strongly for what I stand for.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books are life. White Oleander, Mr. Penumbra's 24hr Book Store, Shogun, She's Come Undone and the Song of Ice and Fire series. Ravenclaw, class of 2011.

TV shows are my jam way more than movies, unless it's got creatures with large teeth. Favorites: Band of Brothers, the West Wing, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Battlestar Galactica and Firefly.

I'm really not picky about my music, but the top played on my iTunes includes Sam Smith, Chris Pureka, Hootie and the Blowfish, Cold War Kids, Alex Clare, The White Panda, GirlTalk, and Matchbox Twenty.

Food is amazing, there is very little of it that I will not enjoy. I'm a sucker for good Thai and Indian food, so if you know of a place, let me know! Especially anywhere that has something with more heat than "Austrian Spicy."
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My Friends
2. Coffee
3. My Sketchbook
4. My Knitting
5. My Cats (two, sisters)
6. The Internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The most optimum route through any problem. How to rearrange my day to get the most done. The motivations behind why people do what they do.

Also countdown to when I can have my next coffee without coming off as an addict.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Most Friday nights I'm trying to figure out where to go! By the end of the week I'm ready to do something exciting and engaging, especially with friends. Additionally shooting pool, dancing or simply meeting up to watch whatever FIFA qualifier is on.

Or just reveling in the glory that is Netflix on the couch alone with pizza after a long week.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You've made it this far down the page! Naw, kidding. If you've liked what you've read, you should drop a line though. I'm easy to talk to.

If you've got a good one, tell me something interesting. Give me some neat fact about the world or quirk or experience you've had. It's a way better start than just "hi."

I forgot- don't message me if you have problems with Bayern Munich or the German National Team. This will save many hardships later on.

Ich kann auch Deutsch, aber bin noch nicht ganz fliessend.
