Originally from Eagle River Alaska, joined the military out of HS, saw the world, got out to go to school and am now pursuing my masters in Stillwater, OK.
I enjoy getting out when I can, seeing some theatre or a band, or just finding a chill coffee shop. I'm an admitted coffee binge drinker and it is not often that I do not have coffee with me. I gave up soda pop in 2004, but I still need my caffeine fix.
Update: I am now in sunny Stillwater, Oklahoma. I've never lived in a college town before, and I was quite perplexed by all of the orange everyone wore, then I found out they were school colors and now I see orange even more.
It is everywhere, which I have found is all right with Stilly natives.
There's a bar right across the street from the fine arts building (everything I need is within a 5 minute walk from where I work), this could not be more convenient...or more troubling...as they are so centrally located that finding an excuse to go to either of them for a break is entirely too easy.
Stillwater is growing on me. It is a small town, reminds me a lot of the town I grew up in, just without mountains. (I will make it a point to bring up the lack of moutains in OK)
