Not here to date. Logged back in to help a friend w his profile.

I've never seen Drunk History nor have I eaten a cronut, yet I love them both.

I enjoy sports where you get to go fast and wear ridiculous clothing. Skiing and cycling are tops. Next up: NASCAR racing or wingsuit flying. So yeah, I'm a cyclist (ugh, that fakakta word) but not a snob if you prefer a 3-speed cruiser, or nothing.

My favorite word, if you haven't already guessed, is fakakta.

I'm crazy for live music. Next time I move I really want to be closer to Wally's.

I also love to shovel snow. LOVE IT.

Mom and pops taught me to always give up my seat on the subway.

I can talk about books and music and movies and theater for days.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Rocket science. Kinda. But yeah.

Taking an acting class. I needs a scene partner!

Travel is huge and I'm always thinking about the next trip. Possibly NOLA Jazzfest. I've gone 3x and it's an absolute blast every time. Where else can you see Foo Fighters on one stage and walk 5 minutes to see Herbie Hancock rocking a white key-tar on another? Nowhere, that's where. So what do you say, you in?
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Dropping everything for a last minute trip. Airlines love me. My bosses hate me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I haven't been able to totally shake my NYC accent despite having moved from the area when I was 18. It comes out when I'm nervous or giving a talk, I mean tawk.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Anything over the top. Including the Sly Stallone classic 80s paean to arm wrestling, Over The Top. Mick Jagger said, "anything worth doing is worth overdoing."

Music: Anything to which one can shake one's booty. Also/including: Greyboy Allstars, MMW, Ulu, Neutral Milk Hotel, Big Star, Paco de Lucia, Sam Cooke, Elton, Muddy, Aretha, Stevie, anything produced by Rick Rubin. Sunday mornings are generally reserved for the Beatles. Usually while cooking a kickass brunch.

Books: The World According to Garp, The Man in the High Castle, Yiddish Policemen's Union, Geek Love, Cosmos. Currently reading Infinite Jest. Love it.

Movies: Dr. Strangelove, Zoolander, Hot Tub Time Machine, Death to Smoochy.

Shows: Veep, BSG, The Wire, Rome, Deadwood, Archer, Orange.

Food: Yes pls. I'll try anything once. I drink cheap beer and good wine and lots and lots of coffee.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Guitar, bike, music, peanut butter, regular butter, WD40
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why OKC is showing me ads for NuvaRing. Work. Our broken political system. The next run swim ride race. The gigantic meal after that.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Preferably dancing my face off with a pretty lady at a show. Otherwise out with friends or at home cooking dinner or tuning up my bike or noodling on the guitar or reading or watching tv.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can name just about any hair band within about 5 seconds of hearing a song.

I've always wanted to be able to moonwalk.

This is fun.

You're kind and you think we would get along.

Or if you can explain 1Q84 to me.

Just do it already.
