My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Made in the Philippines, matured in the East Coast, and migrated to the West Coast. I am always curious about how others live, think, and feel, and what meanings they derive from their lives. Sometimes I am serious and intense. Other times, I am loud, silly, and goofy. I am deceptively extroverted but a true INFJ at heart (sometimes ISFJ). I am a shrink in training and I think Freud is a brilliant man - I really do.

I am in search of quality friends - who want to slow down a bit and take the real journey to getting to know each other - the bad, the good, the ugly, and even the magical.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
improving people's mental health, teaching graduate courses, being healthy (physically & mentally), building a meditation practice, taking dance classes, collecting used books, and constantly trying to be a more awesome version of myself
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
hip hop dancing, eating sushi, listening to others, talking about social justice issues, discussing contemporary psychoanalytic theory, losing myself in my own thoughts, and pretending to be good at giving advice
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can have a very serious outlook on life. I really value people's humanity and subjectivity. I think this is the downsides of being a shrink!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Introspection, social justice, my collection of used books, satisfying conversations, believing in what I do, and quality friendships
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Am I doing enough? Am I being the best person I can be? Do I do an awesome job with my work? How can I continue paying the expensive standard of living in San Francisco, while enjoying the simple pleasures in life? I wish I had more time to read my books!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Depending on how much energy I have left at the end of the work week - either relaxing at home, reading a book, watching a movie, having dinner and catching up with a good friend, dancing the night away, analyzing and discussing some contemporary political or societal issue, or passing out on my bed.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get frustrated with those who have unchecked privilege (classism, sexism, and racism) and entitlement. I value people who have the ability to critically think, emotional self-awareness, humility, and assertiveness. Lastly, I appreciate those who empower and inspire marginalized and oppressed communities :)
