My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Don't hold yourself down.

I take to the woods.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'll do a lot of things for money, but I draw the line at working.

That being said, I am proud to serve the students of inner city Boston for next to nothing. Access to an excellent education should not be considered a privilege; it is a human right.

I spent a good chunk of my younger years living on an island off the coast of Maine with a crop of lobstermen, artists and whatever dreadlocked bunch decided to shack up or camp out for a year or two. I can drive a stick, boulder barefoot and stern a fishing boat. It claims the return address until August. You can't get there from here.

Recently graduated from Smith College with degrees in English Lit and Cultural Anthropology, but that doesn't overrule the reality that everyone should take the direction of their education into their own hands. That said... Buddhism and the Beat Generation, living as off the grid as possible, philosophy, reading, writing, running, poetry, establishing connections with beautiful people and places, traveling, testing and retesting my preconceived notions...

Slowly yet surely assembling my writing portfolio for MFA apps.

A couple of summers ago, my two best friends and I pulled a Kerouac and drove across the US. No monumental revelation, but definitely loads of small ones that have snowballed and stuck to me like glue. After about nine months of traveling and some black-ice of an academic track record, I returned to school, a tumultuous place that taught me one thing: ditch the academic canon, and think of Dean Moriarty.

Then, I nailed a job in a used book store/ coffee joint that completely restored my faith in humanity. Cheers, Ohio.
