My self-summary
Living as a scholar vagabond for the year traveling semi-arbitrarily around the world (wherever I know people or decide to, mostly).

Spend half my time studying tongueless languages* and trying to suss out secrets of the universe. I put the rest into various sports (mostly grappling, bit of boxing and rock climbing), connecting with friends and the world, and plotting. ... Plotting good. (I hope!)
In doing all of this I'm often in a state of distracted concentration, religious-like awe, or constructive frustration -- wouldn't have it any other way. ;)

*Math, science, ideas too clear for regular words.
What I’m doing with my life
Staking out my corner of the universe and boldy telling chaos that it can't have it. At least not for now. (to paraphrase Dorothy Gambrell of Cat and Girl)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
make for better conversations than lists. But if you're the kind of person that sits in the dark just to listen to music, reads books that make you think, and likes to be surrounded by things that challenge (at least, say, 1/2 the time) I'd probably enjoy that conversation.

But here're three pair+ that are up there:

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Beauty, the mind, what can be known, how it can be known, athletic puzzles, the relationship between epistemology and ethics, the importance of madness ("Sanity is madness put to good use.", ~G. Santayana), what seems to be the rarity of heartrending caring (about life/causes/ideas, not individuals ;), the often not petty logistical details of life, when it is dangerous to create things that may be misused and when it is dangerous to do nothing at all.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that you're awesome. Yes, you.
...aaaaand, apparently a little vain.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 18–81
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
You've a mind like a diamond and a bleeding heart.

You're somewhere that you're pretty sure I should be.

You're not overly intimidated by the fact that I'm quite intimate with some amazing people who share my distaste for artificial scarcity. ;)

ps: I sometimes don't do well at responding to mail. If so: know nothing personal is meant, you're still loved. Think of the silence as like... a zen hug. =)
