My self-summary
So, grew up in London, moved to Iowa (long story on how that move happened!) and came out to Seattle over 10 years ago to live near mountains and water and to complete law school. I practiced law for a few years and decided I was miserable. Took a leap and changed careers. I love my job and couldn't be happier. I love going out with friends, being outside, taking advantage of all the great live music in Seattle, and most of all hanging with my pug, Bailey.

Overall, I'm pretty easy going, laugh a lot, and don't get worked up over too much. Life is too short. I believe in regretting the things I don't do and living pretty much in the moment.

Things I feel pretty strongly about: honesty, spontaneity, friends, having bad times to make you appreciate the good ones, challenging yourself, and having breakfast for dinner.

This is kind of all over the place, but so am I sometimes :)
What I’m doing with my life
I work. I love my job, but try not to make it my life. I enjoy spending time with my amazing group of friends. I travel (trying to do that more!). I'm learning to love running (training for my first half marathon). I'm taking guitar lessons. I volunteer. I snowboard, hike, and camp. I take my dog on long walks. I see live music. I cook/bake. I'm a busy gal - the list could go on!
I’m really good at
Speed reading. Cooking. Being loyal to people and sports teams ("GO HAWKEYES"). Making people laugh. Laughing at myself. Making new friends. ROAD TRIPS. Falling off ski lifts. Taking shots of whiskey. Singing and dancing, even though I suck at both!
The first things people usually notice about me
The generic answer is my eyes. The second is my contagious laughter or smile or that I'm annoyingly perky.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I live in Seattle... where do I start?

Books: A lot of SciFi books. I read Pride and Prejudice once a year. Love Brave New World, anything by Ray Bradbury, or Vonnegut. Also, I have started reading a lot of classics lately that I must have skipped over in High School and College. Just flew through The Hunger Games trilogy to see what all the hype was about. Currently reading Wool. Can't believe it took me so long to get a Kindle...I love it as I'm usually reading 2-3 books at a time.

TV: Parks and Rec, Fringe, Supernatural, The X-files, House, Archer, Family Guy, Law & Order - SVU specifically, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, Daily Show, and on occasion, Jersey Shore...don't judge.

Music: Bon Iver, Ray Lamontagne, The Luminieers, James Blake, Kate Nash, Regina Spektor, Adel, Aimee Mann, The XX, Pixies, Iron &Wine, Crystal Castles, Fleet Foxes, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan, 80's music - this list could go on and on. Recently listening to Grimes, Of Monsters and Men, and Fitz and the Tantrums.

Food: Foodie, but not in a snobby way. I like eating and get really excited about trying a new restaurant or new food. I also enjoy a McDonald's cheeseburger every now and then.

I like NPR too - not sure what category that falls into. Honestly, I get my news there and the Daily Show.
The six things I could never do without
1) Friends
2) Wine
3) Laughing
4) My dog
5) Traveling
6) Coffee

If I could add a seventh, it would be my iphone. I know it's crazy but not sure what I would do without it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to get balence in my life, how insane the American political system is, why I'm online dating at all...
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm probably out with friends on Capitol Hill, cooking dinner with friends, or at home chilling with a bottle on wine and my kindle.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I pass out at the sight of blood, I LOVE really bad Sci-Fi/Horror movies, and I can't swim.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 30–40
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you're interested in having a few laughs and good conversation over food, beer, wine, or coffee. Oh and if you think you can make me laugh until my stomach hurts. It's honestly one of my favorite things.
