Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
We come across many characters on life's path. All kinds of kinds.
Personally, I believe that when our path crosses that of another's,
it's not always a coincidence. Sometimes, it's meant to be. We get
to know that person, that character on a stage, and well, the
special ones alter our very way of life. They become a character in
our story, one of those we've known or loved along the way.
Sometimes, the experience impacts us so much that we're never
really the same. We're forever changed. You see, that's why I'm
here. I'm just chasing that experience. I hope that by being here,
maybe I've entangled your path with mine. Now, maybe, just maybe,
we're on an unstoppable collision course. Maybe you show up in the
next chapter of my story, maybe you're tucked away there in the
pages that have yet to be written. I'd like to see you there.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
If I could choose only one word to describe myself, there's only
one word that I would choose. Servant. I strive daily to be the
very definition of this word. I believe that it's my God-given duty
to love and serve others. I believe that my faith should be
expressed through love. I believe that by selflessly loving and
serving others, I'm loving and serving my savior. I long to make a
difference in the lives of all those around me. I want to be a
light in the darkness.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
- Communicating. Whether it's family, friendship, or strictly
professional, I don't believe there is anything more vital to the
success of a relationship.
- Friendship. If there's anything that I'm good at, in all of life,
- Listening. I have a really good set of ears. Don't worry, they're
- I'm obsessed with all forms of art, creativity, and storytelling.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: The Old Man and the Sea, The Great Gatsby, To Have and Have
Not, The Sound and the Fury (I'll read anything that I can get my
hands on. I have a deep rooted love for books. I'm a big fan of all
Movies: Casablanca, Gone With The Wind, Tombstone
Music: I could talk about music for days. I'm really passionate
about it. To me, it's all about the song. A good song stands alone,
regardless of it's genre or the artist that delivers it. Scroll
through my iPod and you'll find everything from crooners, like
Frank Sinatra, to cowboys like George Strait.
Shows: The Andy Griffith Show, The Big Bang Theory, Criminal Minds,
Friends, House, How I Met Your Mother, Law & Order: SVU, Mad
Men, The Newsroom, Sons Of Anarchy, Sportscenter, The Walking Dead
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- My Family (I feed off their love and support. They keep my feet
on the ground and remind me of my raising.)
- My Friends (We all need a shoulder to lean on. I'm blessed. I
have amazing friends.)
- Home (We all need a home to come home to. We all need a
- Books, especially a Bible ("Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and
a light unto my path." It would be really easy to get lost without
- Music (I believe we all need a good song to sing on.)
- Laughter (I wouldn't want to live in a world without laughter.
Life can be hard, sometimes we just need to keep it light.)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- I spend a lot of time thinking about ways to be better. I like to
think of it as ways to raise my stock. I want to be valuable. The
man I see in my head, the man that I want to be, he's worth his
weight in gold. That's what I'm striving for. I want to make a
difference. I want to leave everything better than the way that I
found it. I hope to, one day, be a best friend to the woman of my
dreams. If that day comes, I sure don't want to let her down. I
want to be every detail of everything that she deserves.
- I spend a lot of time thinking about... well, everything. I just
spend a lot of time thinking. I think too much.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
- I have these leather journals that I write in everyday. It's
pretty safe to assume that they're never too far out of reach. I
keep them close by, just in case something moves me. I like to
imagine my grandchildren discovering them, in some old, dusty
attic, long after I'm gone. I hope they'd feel a sense of pride
with every page they turned. I hope they'd be inspired. Ultimately,
I hope they'd have a better understanding of my time here, the man
I was, and the life I chose to live. I can't stand the thought of
anything being lost. Those fleeting moments, the ones that shape
our souls, they deserve to live forever, so I document them. In
those journals you'll find characters that I've met, conversations
that I've had, places that I've been to, people that I've loved,
things that I hate, and things that I adore. They mostly just serve
as a record of my experiences, ideas, and thoughts. I'm not sure if
there's anything in them that anyone else would care about but I
pour my heart onto those pages, they tell the story of my life.
