My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Intellectual, calm and collected, usually pretty conservative in temperament, even if not in anything else ;).
Crazy interested in philosophy, history, economics, politics, religion... I want to understand what makes the world run. As you might surmise, I like talking about ideas and evolving the ones I already have.

Music is an obsession of mine - listening, making, and performing, though I haven't had much opportunity to do the latter two lately. I can sing for you... once we know each other better ;)

My life has its own particular rhythm, which I'm slow to disturb. I'm not bad at compromise, as long as I don't feel like I'm the only one doing the compromising.

MBTI: infj / intp
Enneagram: 5w4 / 9w1
Big5: R-oaI
Religion: Complicated, mostly ignostic (sic), but I like to keep in touch with my spiritual side
Politics: classical liberal, socially progressive
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
- Writing an article about my groundbreaking ideas which are, like, totally original and far out, dude!
- Slogging through my backlogs of computer games to complete (NP: Transistor, Pillars of Eternity, Half-Life 2)
- Slogging through my backlog of books to read (NR: Wittgenstein 'Philosophical Investigations', Scott 'Seeing Like a State')
- Enlarging both the aforementioned backlogs
- Practising the piano and the djembe
- Coming to terms with the whole 'being an independent, responsible adult' thing
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Combining facts and conjectures into my Grand Theory of Everything
Not getting in other people's way
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How little I talk
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

When it comes to music, I enjoy stuff that's a little bit ambitious, pretentious, or left-of-centre. My childhood passion is \m/metal\m/ in almost all forms, especially death and progressive, but you'll also find prog rock, electronic music, classical, hip-hop, pop, jazz and folk in my collection.

I also love computer games of all stripes, especially RPGs (Fallout, Planescape:Torment, TES) and point-n'-click adventure games.

I read mostly non-fiction books, about the topics I mentioned earlier.

Like for most mammals, there are tv shows and movies I like, mostly not very demanding. I'm not allergic to anime, board games, or comics either.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- friendship
- chocolate
- music
- humour
- The Sublime
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- economics, history, philosophy etc.
- how much cooler this TV show would be if I was a character
- what I should've said back then
- what I would say to this person
- what I should say or do when that happens
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I put on Wagner when there's a storm outside.
I sleep with plushie carrot.
I sometimes pretend I can dance like Justin Timberlake...

...don't judge me!
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
...You think people should be treated based on what they do to and with other human beings, not because of how they look, what reproductive organs they have or how well they conform to arbitrary standards of gender, sexuality etc.
...You believe morality should be based on empathy, virtue and reason and not bad ancient literature.
...You love music in some form, especially if it's unusual.
...You know what it's like to be embarrassed of telling a joke so ridiculously convoluted that no one understands why it's funny.
...You're an interesting person who has something different and contrarian to say :).
