My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A quick update. I actually will be leaving for graduate school in August. Sad times I know but I am always up for making connections. If you want to know where to, feel free to ask.

It is always interesting trying to write about yourself. As for me, one thing becomes readily apparent is how much of a nerd I am and how silly I can be. That is not to say I don't get serious, its just I try to laugh as often as I can. Hahaha. Life is more fun that way. Another thing is that I am honest and don't hide things. I hate lying and dislike it in all its forms. I love camping, hiking, and pretty much anything else outdoors. I am looking for someone to be my go to girl to hit up the latest movie, talk about new books, go on outdoor adventures and the like. I am vegetarian but it is not a deal breaker if you are not. I also don't drink but have no problem going to a pub or bar and just hang out. I am a loyal friend and will help the people i care about anyway I can. Whether it be someone to be with them through some rough times or just putting on my most goofy act and get them laughing, I am there when people need me.d

I am really an open book. If there is anything you want to know, feel free to ask. I can be mellow and exuberant. I can get excited about different things and I laugh a lot. I love what I am studying and look forward to pursuing a career and a higher degree in my field.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology. I am specifically interested in archaeology. I love what I do. Its so much fun learning about people past and present. I plan to go to grad school as soon as I save up the money. Currently working towards that end. I want to get the most out of my schooling since I know once you get out, it will be difficult to get back in. I also work with Autistic children and it has helped me view the world in different light and I enjoy it. I like having fun with the kids I work with and helping them reach the goals they have. I also try to get out into nature as often as I can. Its really important to me and not having it around makes me feel like a caged bird. One that doesn't sing. Haha. (Though I am know to burst out in song)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Well, I like to believe I am a good listener. People come to me to talk to me and value what I have to say when they ask for my thoughts. I am capable of making people laugh, though more often than not it is at me rather than with me! Hahaha. Am good at thinking on the fly and getting things I want to do done. Think I will stop there. You can always judge for yourself when we chat. Feel like I just took a page out of the arrogant book. Haha
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically, people notice my hair and beard right way. Though I trim the beard somewhat frequently, my hair is what stands out. Its kinda long and I want to keep it that way. Something about the wind in your hair feels great! Hahaha. Perhaps my smile though it is unconfirmed whether that is true. On the less material side at the risk of being repetitive, how much of a nerd I am. I more than capable of nerding out and talking your ear off about something that interests me. Though I can tell if I need to tone it down and I think I can, least thats what my friends say. Maybe they are humoring me, who knows. Hahaha.
They also tell me how honest I am. Honesty is a big thing for me and i try to reflect that. Honesty is important for any relationship and without it who knows what is real and what is not.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I am a big Sci-Fi and fantasy person. Love reading fantasy and sci-fi novels. They are really fun and filled with adventure. Who doesn't love adventure? My top sci-fi book is Dune. Loved it and it makes you be an careful reader. Among my favorite sci-fi shows are Firefly and the newer Battlestar Galactica though there are more. If you know of any good ones, let me know. Movies have to be Star Wars (the originals), Serenity, Fifth Element, and I feel like I am forgetting some. For fantasy books, would have to say Lord of the Rings, the Book of Amber, Legend of Drizzt, and a whole lot more because they have a great way of bringing you into their world. Fantasy movies I will go with LOTR, Howl's Moving Castle, and too many to name. Think I just nerded out a bit. Hahaha.
Food wise, I am pretty cool with anything. Being that I am vegetarian, I love trying new things and I guess my favorite thing would have to be vegetarian food. Though I feel thats cheating.
I am a fan of rock and traditional kind of music. MY favorite band is Rush and I don't care who knows it! (Though I have never seen them in concert, sad times) I love power metal and folk metal though it is a new thing for me. Classical music is great and I enjoy performing it though it has been a while. Traditional music is to my mind bag pipes (love em), fiddles, and things of that nature. Stuff that is tied to people's culture.
I do play video games but not as often as i used to. I mostly play now when I am with friends or trying to catch up with old ones that have moved away. Its a good way for us to hang out even thouhgh we are miles apart.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I can never be without Cheese. I love it way to much.
Books are to much fun and I love having something new to read.
My friends are what make my life complete and awesome. We can have tons of fun going out and having adventures or staying in and laugh up a storm. I can't live with out them.
Hands down it will have to be nature. Though I know it might not across so readily, being outdoors is big part of my life. I plan to have a house near a forest so I can just lose myself in it.
This is going to be totally cheesy (though I did say I love cheese hahaha) but Love is definitely a can't do without. It is what makes life worth living and helps you get through the tough times.
Knowledge is important because it not only helps us understand the world but also the people in it. Knowledge can bring us all to a better reality.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time of thinking of how to expand my knowledge. I love learning new things and I constantly try to use all that I have learned and put it into practice. I spend a good deal of time how to leave less of foot print on the earth. The environment is super important to me and I want to make sure it is in good condition for for those who will come after us. We are many years away from space flight and that should still be no excuse to treat this world of ours poorly. There is only one and we are dead without it. Because of my job with Autistic kids, I think about kids quite often. I think they are important to protect because they will be the ones running thins when we are old and gone so we need to make sure they get everything they need to succeed. I also think about how to survive a Zombie Apocalypse but mostly just for fun...until Zombies start appearing around every corner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Right now my Fridays nights consist of outings with some kids I work with. Afterwards, I like to read, catch up with friends, or sometimes watch a movie. Trying to find some time to fence but with a fluid work schedule, sometimes it doesn't pan out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will admit that I look forward to having my own family. The family that has kids, two people who love each other and at a place and time where they feel happy. I know its kinda of a big thing to put out there but I am honest and don't like hiding things.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Message me for whatever you want. Am always in the market for new friends and partners in crime. Though I will not lie, as I think it says so above, I am looking for someone to be my Bonnie to my Clyde, without out the crime spree and eventual death of course. Though I do like a little mischief. Hahaha. Message me if you feel like we could match up and have some fun together.
