My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an INFP with strong J tendencies, if that means anything to you. Without quite meaning to, complete strangers often find themselves telling me their deepest secrets and struggles--and feeling better for it. I'm a sucker for smart guys; intelligence is inherently sexy to me.

Interests? Vast and varied. I love writing, travel, photography, music, dance, marine biology (specifically cetaceans), reading, God, learning, theatre, astronomy (not astrology), the moon, rain, bog walks, and personality tests. Also movies, music, disasters, Frankenberry cereal, sock monkeys, architecture, and about fourteen gazillion other things. Life is interesting!

I'm an extremely intelligent woman with a deep and abiding belief in God--and I don't see any tension between those truths. If you do, we might become very good friends, but we'll never find love; that's okay with me, if it's okay with you.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've finished grad school and now I'm doing what a whole lot of other people are doing: looking for a job. Therefore, my life is kind of on hold. Luckily, I'll move pretty much anywhere, so if there's a job opening near you, feel free to pass it along!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being easily amused, finding beauty in the unexpected, listening and not judging.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love fiction, creative non-fiction, and non-fiction books that explore how we work unexpectedly, like anything by Malcolm Gladwell, Dan Ariely, Gavin De Becker, etc. I'll read almost anything, though.

When it comes to movies, yes, I like rom-coms. I'm a girl. But I'm also addicted to action flicks and cheesy disaster films, and I'm a fan of fantasy, some comic book adaptations, and family films (Disney, Pixar, that sort of thing). I won't watch horror and I really don't like stupid humor films.

Love music--pretty much all of it, from indie stuff with great harmonies to salsa with a driving beat to classical violin concertos. Only thing I really don't like is heavy metal. (My favorite band is Over the Rhine--which makes sense for someone with eclectic taste in music. Check them out if you've never heard them!)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- God
- alone time
- trees
- hot showers
- something to read
- light
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what house I should buy or how I can get back to Venice.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Chances are good that I'm volunteering at the Humane Society. I've been doing that for several months now and somehow it's become an unpaid part-time job. And I love it! If I'm not there, I might be cuddling with my new kitten, watching DVR'd shows or hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
There's something about a guy wearing a vest--sweater or regular--that I really dig. Add good glasses and I'm likely to swoon. And if he's playing drums, too...I'm probably in love. I don't know what that's about.
