I am a list maker, an avid gamer, and an environmentalist.

My Self-Summary

I am currently living in Kettering with roommates - both human and feline. I'm a fairly recent ('08) graduate with a BS in environmental engineering. I decided to continue with my masters, and that's going slowly but steadily. I daylight as an environmental coordinator for a small company with several assets to manage. I get to do something positive for both the environment and my company and I don't have to just sit behind a desk all day (something that would drive me bonkers). At night, I read, game, and make sure to recycle? Sometimes I feel crafty and just have to make/draw/build something. Mostly I just hang out with my roomies/friends.

I think I'm a pretty practical person; I say things at face value and I often (to some degree of failure) try to interpret them that way, too. Occasionally I just can't stop my brain from over thinking things.

One of my most favorite activities is discussing thought-provoking subjects with my friends. I will never forget a night in college that my closest friends and I drew - yes drew - string theory to explain our interpretations to one another. A close second is Rock Band.

Humor is super important to me. I like comedies, stories and comics, but I also really enjoy finding the little things throughout an average day. Recently I found a grammatical mistake on a mass produced product. Sure, kind of sad for humanity, but it still made my day. Cliched as it is, time is just too sparse to spend it angry or bitter. Thankfully, I got over that phase after high school. What is left is more of a cynical, dry wit.

At the risk of sounding contradictory, I'm both the "quiet type" and an adrenaline junkie. I'd say 70/30 split. While I like to read and draw and the like, I also love to travel to new places, try new things, ride roller coasters, and flirt with cute strangers.

What I’m doing with my life

Trying to decide what to do with the rest of it; so far I've decided I want to (a) attempt to send a slinky down the side of an authentic pyramid, and (b) learn to play tennis, as I have a racquet for some reason anyways.

I also am trying to get outside more. I used to love hiking and I'm new to the area so I'm trying to find places to take it up again.

I’m really good at

-Blowing myself up in Halo 3
-Organizing/Planning
-Procrastinating
-Directions
-Decorating
-Losing socks
-Avoiding the phone (I prefer talking in person, where I can aid my message with expressions)

The first things people usually notice about me

My ridiculous car. It's yellow and oddly shaped, yet deceivingly roomy.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:
-Category 1: Neverwhere and the Sandman series - Neil Gaiman, the entire Discworld series (especially those with Death) - Terry Pratchett, Digitial Fortress - Dan Brown, Lamb - Christopher Moore
-Category 2: Plan B 2.0 - Lester Brown, The Elegant Universe - Brian Greene

Huxley > Orwell.

Movies: Monty Python anything, Mel Brooks anything (especially Men in Tights), Crybaby, Ninth Gate, Transformers, Donnie Darko, Iron Man, Princess Bride, Shaun of the Dead, Across the Universe

TV: Arrested Development, The Office, House, IT Crowd

Music: Tool, (Old/Not these last two albums) Metallica, Pink Floyd, Placebo, Beatles, Dirty Vegas, Vast, 3 Days Grace, whatever's playing on 103.9

Food: I like most food, but more than a particular genre, I love trying new foods.

The six things I could never do without

Things I would not want to do without:
-Internets
-Xbox360
-Coffee
-My cat, Spyder
-Contacts (the kind for my eyes)
-Sketch pad

I spend a lot of time thinking about

politics and politicking
environmental trends
time & space relations
new 360 games and how I can find more time for them
neat gadgets

On a typical Friday night I am

Er... you want to hear how cool I am here, eh? Occasionally I go out to a bar - for the music. More often I am doing what I do most nights: recovering from working late, hanging out with my roommate, reading, watching tv/movies, playing the xbox, visiting friends, etc.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've just bought roller skates and look ridiculous trying to relearn using them.

You should message me if

...you have the missing half of this golden amulet.

...perhaps you're a good teacher or can give me pointers towards the completion of my "to do" list:
-Learn to shoot
-Learn something about my car's engine
-Learn to drive stick
-Something new I don't even know I want to know yet

...you are super witty and could probably make me laugh. Or at least grin.

...you think it's silly that this section is demanding of you and instead, want to know something from me.

Also, any old reason at all.
