There is no place more calming to me than the top of a mountain.

I work for the FAA, I guide airplanes through the sky. I keep people safe. No I do not park airplanes with glowy batons.

I’m that quiet guy that revs up to people surprisingly quickly. Growing up in the Midwest taught me a lot about being a good person. Traveling overseas showed me we’re all one people, and the vast majority of us are good. The people you surround yourself with has great effect on who you become, so I consistently keep very high quality friends who push me to be even better.

My days off are spent out on the town with friends or finding another mountain summit. Or maybe I’m on the motorcycle, getting lost on purpose so I can find myself again. Always looking for people to join me in backpacking.

Enjoying it first and foremost. I am the happiest I have ever been since I ventured out to the wild Northwest. I have a great job and a good life, looking for that last piece in the trifecta.

Fending off occasional bursts of frightful productivity by throwing random projects at them. Hopefully not picking up yet another hobby (hiking, camping, photography, writing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, precision shooting, reading, the list goes on...) but that is inevitable.

Coming up with ideas for adventures and acting on them accordingly. Hiking into mountain lakes, figuring out which country I'm going to discover for next year's overseas trip, or just plotting a motorcycle trip down the west coast. Its a constant stream of daydreaming followed by action and occasional poor judgement.

I have a knack for photography and I am always trying to improve it. My specialty is scenic photography, something I long scour the nearest National Parks for. I've hiked over 75 miles in Glacier just to get the shots I wanted.

Taking wrong turns. Its like a disease I have.

I seem to look much younger than my true age when I'm all cleaned up.

More importantly I've recently started a journey of self improvement. I've come to recognize my flaws thanks to maturity and insights from past relationships. Changing your ways is never easy but if it means becoming a better person I am all for it.
