I am ordinary, imaginary, and tiger.

My Self-Summary

I like watching television with the sound off. Watching obscure french films. Hiking in the woods alone. I like naming inanimate objects, just ask my plants. I am an explorer, a dreamer and a realist. I'm a graphic designer and a fontophile. I work for a casino on their creative team as a graphic designer.

I'm from Wisconsin, went to school in Ohio, worked in Michigan and even lived in NYC for an internship at National Geographic Adventure Magazine. I wrote a thesis concerning deceptive language behavior. It's pretty fascinating stuff--I'd be happy to bore you with it sometime.

I consider myself rather indie as far as tastes and interests and generally am interested in the finding the same. I'm always looking for music recommendations.

I find pleasure in going for walks at night by myself, exploring, working on some obligatory art project or just sitting in the comfort of a quiet conscience. I enjoy rain, a nice cup of sport tea, Converse, fall, paperclips, corduroy, cows, candy apple red, and tapioca pudding. I've been known to eat a 6-pack of pez in a sitting.

What I’m doing with my life

I think I'm destined to be alone. Not because I'm not nice or un-attractve, come to think of it, I'm not really sure why, but I think I am.

There was a story about the Greek gods—they were bored so they created human beings. But they were still bored so they invented love. Then they weren't bored any longer. So they decided to try love for themselves. And finally they invented laughter...so they could stand it.

Wouldn't it be great to just meet the one you are supposed to be with, settle down and just live? I'm not interested in playing your games. I'm interested in Nick Drake. And camping. And hiking. And hiding plastic army soldiers around my apartment. I like shitty beer like Blatz and Schlitz. I've never been good at flying kites, but I try. I love adventures. I prefer polaroids to digital, even though they are stopping producing the film after this year. I like James Dean. And the way red and orange clash. I roll the cuffs of my jeans. My favorite letter of the alphabet is lower case h. I don't throw away fortune cookie fortunes. I'm tired of being alone, but I can't be content in a relationship. Now rinse and repeat.

I suppose that's what I'm doing with my life. If you can relate to any of that, send me a message.

I’m really good at

Quiet observation, smiling, sarcasm, procrastination, and self-depreciation

The first things people usually notice about me

People don't usually notice me. I like to wear bowties though. The real ones you have to tie. And sometimes the right people notice that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

mmm I don't know. I have so many favorites, I really do...(these are just a few)

A) Atlas Shrugged, Apathy (and other small victories), The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Man is the Measure.

B) The Dreamers, Shortbus, Amadeus, Clockwork Orange, Donnie Darko, Amelie, Requiem for a Dream, American Beauty, Virgin Suicides, Frida, Happenstance, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Four Rooms, most foreign films, independent and or bizarre ones.

C) Nick Drake is my man. The Delgados, The Smiths, Iron and Wine, The Color Bars, Sufjan Stevens, American Analog Set, Slowreader, Stereo Total, Neutral Milk Hotel, !!!, Portishead, Belle and Sebastian, M. Ward, Reindeer Section, Hawksley Workman, Psaap, Kings of Convenience. I also enjoy cake a lot, Gary Jules, Jack Johnson, The Shins, Mozart, Saint-Saens, The Streets, Django Reinhardt, The Vince Guaraldi Trio, CSS, Le Tigre, Ladytron, Daft Punk.

D) I like most all foods, with the exception of fake lime flavoring. I do like real limes though...

The six things I could never do without

A morning shower, Double-stick tape, Music, A sharpie, Fonts, Personal space

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Myself. How I relate to others is important to me. I want others to be happy, but I will put myself first when I'm not happy. Just sorta how it is. Don't get me wrong, Im not vain or egotistical, I just believe in being content in myself before making others content.

On a typical Friday night I am

I most likely am out with friends or trying to find a moment to be alone.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

It absolutely drives me nuts when people don't put their license plate stickers in the correct places. It even shows you where to put them on the envelope! Don't get me started.

I really have no secrets. If you wanna know, I'll tell ya.

You should message me if

Honestly, if you are a mans man. I consider myself to be a normal guy (not that flaming guys are not normal), but I'm just lookin' for people like me.

I am always looking for new friends just to talk to...I'm not looking for anything specific, probably here for the same reasons you are. Drop an e-mail and get to know me.
