My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Musician and world traveler. I play guitar and bass professionally, love learning everything I can, and enjoy taking life as it comes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I play bass on cruise ships, and play gigs and teach music lessons in between contracts. It's a fun gig.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Playing guitar and bass. I also love surfing and being on the water. Also: drawing, kissing, recalling interesting but useless facts, taking long walks on the beach. =P
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
generally its how awesome I am, followed shortly by my stunning good looks. My extraordinary humility comes in close behind.

On a serious note, though, I get a lot of compliments on my smile. Also, on my hair. Apparently I have "very well defined bangs" and "a lot of volume", whatever that means.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Edgar Allan Poe, H. P. Lovecraft, Douglas Adams, J.R.R. Tolkien, Dostoyevsky, Gogol

Among the books on my bookshelf are the Book of Dao, the Koran, the Bible, and a book entitled "Ceremonial Black Magic". I like to keep people confused.

Food: curry, sushi, anything really. I'm not a picky eater. I enjoy spicy foods.

Movies: The Truman Show, Airplane, Young Frankenstein, 2001, Darjeeling Limited, Once upon a time in Mexico, Pan's Labyrinth. Lots of old comedies.

Music: anything that is good. I really love jazz, blues, and classic soul and motown. I often go on punk or metal kicks. Rimsky-Korsakov, Mendelsohn, Beethoven, Mussorgsky, and Tchaikovsky are all brilliant. Its pretty much impossible to be unhappy while listening to reggae. I also love celtic, bluegrass, latin, some electronica, older country, etc.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
guitar, surfboard, friends, space to myself, books,
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I try to follow politics and world events and spend a lot of time in my head trying to figure out how to make this world better.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either playing a gig or busking.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to think I was really clever for pointing out that the above prompt is self-contradicting, but then I realized how many other people pointed out the same thing.
