My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
As a post-modern version of a 'gentleman of leisure', I have time to pursue many interests. While some are more solitary than others (i.e. reading blogs, writing fiction, etc.), I much more enjoy the times when I get to interact face-to-face with others. I enjoy demonstrating complex board-games, attending heathen circles, and arranging unexpected seductions for myself and others.

I am overtly literate, happily cynical, and polyamorous
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My current occupation is house-husband, a career that better suits my personality. When I'm not summoning the Laundry Pixies or organizing the Kitchen Patrol, I get to spend time with the computer, scanning political blogs or working on gaming projects.

In my copious spare time, I work with several local conventions (Dragonflight, VCON, ConQuest], Norwescon), usually as a Man In Black for Steve Jackson Games. I'm also the Resident Curmudgeon & Short-Order Cook for pagan events (e.g. Summerstar).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can make a great breakfast, at home and at camp.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
At a distance, the oddly-dyed forelock is impossible to miss (currently Lava Red middle with Burgundy sides).

My voice is distinctive, easy to remember and hard to ignore.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I've been a big fan of the DC Universe for too many decades along with numerous indie titles (Girl Genius, Planetary, Hellboy). I've been addicted to reading even longer and my preferences span decades(Terry Pratchett, Greg Bear, L. Sprague deCamp, J.R.R. Tolkien, etc.)

When I find time for video, I like movies many effects (e.g. Terminator, Indiana Jones) or old shows (Monty Python, Babylon 5, any Joss Wheddon show, Invader Zim).
