My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Howdy, I'm Cole.

I'm a Writing major, born and raised in small towns across Wisconsin, who thought it'd be a good idea to escape the midwest and move to San Antonio, Texas. However, I've recently moved to Ohio to help out with some family health issues. Family first, always.

I'm looking to meet non-terrifying guys on the internet. We'll see how that goes.

I love nothing more than music, writing, and being outside.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
At any given time (now included) I'm fervently penning what I always hope will be my first novel. Writing a book is hard, but if you read a genre/style, I probably write it in in some capacity. Fantasy sci-fi nerds, get at me. Ideally, I'd like to write for a living, but words on paper don't always pay the bills; I'm a realistic optimist.

I'm going to university, working, etc. I've got a few back-up plans to avoid being a starving artist, just in case I'm not the next JK Rowling.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, even if it's often at my own expense*.

Driving/navigating in a city full of incompetent motorists. Speaking in a way that makes me seem more pretentious than I am.

Writing. Sex. The important things.

The first things people usually notice about me

On here, it's generally, "Wow, I like your pictures." Thanks, I have a lot of Photography majors for friends. In person I get a lot of, "You talk like my dad." That can be a compliment or insult, depending on who your father is.

^Way to be broad.

Selected things and stuff that I like, in no particular order, genre or medium:

The Walking Dead (show and graphic novels), Sushi, Fiona Apple, Neil Gaiman, Harry Potter, Hummus, Muriel Rukeyser, all things Hayao Miyazaki (esp Princess Mononoke), Tori Amos--the goddess, Radiohead, 28 Days Later, Gaga (she's a badass, no shame), Bjork, Elder Scrolls, all things K-Pop, Wisconsin (home) Cheese, iamamiwhoami, Invisible Monsters, Chuck Palanhiuk in general, Crystal Castles, Bon Iver, Marina and the Diamonds, Parenthetical Girls, The Hundred Secret Senses...

More to come, I'm sure.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love (Isn't that technically *all* we need? Beatles reference? No? ...I tried. : \)

Coffee is pretty up there as well.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I write both fiction and music, which essentially means I want to be a professional daydreamer. I spend a lot of time in my head conceptualizing. It's not unusual for me to go quiet for a while before exclaiming, "You know what would make a cool story?!" and launching into a synopsis of an alternate reality, or for me to randomly start scribbling lyrics down on a napkin. For some it can be amusing, for others it's exasperating. (Probably pick which side you'd be on before messaging me.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Staying in can be just as much fun as much as going out and having a grand adventure. All things in moderation, though spontaneity is a huge plus.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My dreams are weird. Exceptionally so. Last night: an American cinema-esque bio-terrorism apocalypse mixed with a gang of Osamu Tezuka post-war, poverty stricken children (living in a slum and worshipping a defunct, deified giant mecha), before setting off on a Hayao Miyazaki sci-fi adventure through the layers of gamma-radiation laden human history... With the twist of an open, albeit optimistic ending.

Message me:
A.) If you can carry out an actual conversation. It's very difficult to meet people online when they're incapable of coherent expression. Kind of defeats the purpose, really.
B.) I stay fit, active, and healthy, you should too.
C.) If you've read this far without growing bored.
