My self-summary Propose an edit

I am a very laid-back person and so I don't get angry often. I do, however, have a problem with changes in routine and get flustered when something unexpected happens. Overall, I'm pretty easy-going and like to have a good time. Laughter is an important part of my life and a good sense of humour will usually cheer me up.

Academics are very important to me. I got my BA in French in May 2007 and am currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing, focusing on poetry. Obviously, I love to write but don't often have the time or inspiration to follow through on my ideas. Despite my personality, my poems tend to be brooding and dark, which probably takes many of my friends by surprise. I like poems and stories with conflict and tension; they make me think and provide a good basis for analytical thought. I like analyzing literature (to an extent) but I don't consider myself very adept at the task.
