My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I can tap dance. Just.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Teaching. Not getting enough sleep. Riding my red bike through the inner north like the cliché I am.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a teeny bit taller than the average woman. It's good for getting stuff off shelves. Old ladies in supermarkets love me and my tiny housemates need me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Jasper Fforde, check him out. Also love the classics. Jane Eyre has been a favourite since I read it in Year 11, and I will argue about its feminist merits until my dying day. Will try most anything, but am well aware that life is too short to read bad writing.
Movies: Always difficult to do succinctly. Stranger Than Fiction is the greatest. I'm getting close to 30 viewings of The Truman Show (occupational hazard) and it just keeps getting better. I love a good 80s film and will put down whatever I'm doing to watch a Back to the Future. Open to anything that isn't a waste of time.
Shows: 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, The Office (US version, before you ask and, yes, judge away), Buffy, Firefly, Doctor Who, Sherlock, The West Wing, The Newsroom.
Music: Muse, Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons, The Strokes, Florence and the Machine, The Mountain Goats, The Beatles, Crowded House, The National. Also, Tripod are awesome.
Food: Food is good.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Wine
Women
Song

what, six things?

Beer
Blokes
Dismantling the patriarchy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what kind of dog I would get if had a backyard that wasn't concrete.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
enjoying a drink or two after a long week.
