I'm a homebody masquerading as an absolutely addicted traveler to obscure lands...I love going to countries most people have never heard of...yet I am content here in my house in FreLard...

I am a avid urban bicycler who also loves to go on long road trips...hard to justify, but SO SO SO much fun!

Enjoying being back in Seattle after being gone for a couple years...

-Making people laugh with my awesomely over the top, sometimes totally un-authentic, but effective, foreign accents - especially my "British" schtick.
-Living a simple, but rich, life
-Staying in touch. I'm usually the guy who makes the phone call.
-Fixing mechanical devices.
-Not cutting people off when they are talking.
-Figuring out ways to fit road trips and travel plans into my life.
-Running long distances.

My high energy and general inability to take life too seriously. I am not shy about giving people hugs...every once in a while I declare that group hugs will be given out at work...it scares a lot of people away, but I love it. I appear fit and swift...there is a reason why my friends call me Flash.

Movies: I don't go to many movies, but I watch them when I have a solid recommendation...recently I saw "The Trip", an English comedy...and I can't stop laughing at it...

Books: I read mostly non-fiction. By the time I am done reading The Economist, I have no time left for fiction. I am a total nerd when it comes to US Presidential history, and I am working on reading a biography of each of the US Presidents.

Music: I listen mostly to indie rock...I am into the The National, The XX, My Morning Jacket, Devotchka, etc...but I like most everything...even new style country music (as long as it is on a road trip in Wyoming!)

Good chance I am on the road heading to the mountains to go skiing or climbing...I tend to leave town about every other weekend. I love hanging out in the city and stirring up trouble, too, though!

I think I take mediocre pictures but I love what I see when I look in the mirror every day.

If you live in Seattle and can tell me what continent Burma is on, that's a good start...bonus if you like throwing frisbee or spending time in the mountains. By the way - I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink beer or coffee. :-)
