My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Who am I? WHO AM I?! I'm the goddam Batman and I am the Stig. I am in Seattle for the summer. I'm usually a low maintenance guy that is often silly, but I can put on a straight face and give good advice when needed.

I am the guy that suggests you view the image at this URL.

You're welcome.

I'm half Irish Catholic, quarter Northern Irish Protestant, and quarter Anglo-Saxon English. "Bartender, I'll take an Irish Car Bomb please!" I'll leave the details to the rest of the profile.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am studying in Software Engineering. Think Computer Scientist/Programmer except with more focus on the creativity, design, and quality aspect of it. I've been spending my summers working for Amazon in Seattle, so I'm doing something right.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably either that I appear taller than I actually am, my hair is amazing for some reason(s) that I don't understand since it seems plain to me, I appear to be wearing canoes for shoes thanks to the size of my feet, or that I might be shy at first but as soon as ice breaking is done and I know at least some interesting topic of common interest, I am anything but shy.

While that might be a big list of things, I can usually guarantee the second thing people usually notice is that I am chill and/or silly with just about anything and everything.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
/* Books */
Favorite books I have read are Ender's Game, The Darwin Awards, The Giver (I don't know how, but that book actually made me cry), The Zombie Survival Guide, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Mad Money, The "Gang of Four" book, Roxaboxen, and Goodnight Moon (also any other book that would make me nostalgia). If I can include comics, then any comic featuring Deadpool. (If you don't know who he is, here's a sample. http://bit.ly/Q3hnaq ) Also I did read Catcher in the Rye and I thought it was a book about a kid who whines a lot... so not a favorite.
Soon to come: Dune & Nordic Myths

/* Movies */
My favorite movies are Boondock Saints, Hackers, Pirate Radio, The Game, Lord of the Rings, Neverending Story, Star Wars, Gladiator, Braveheart, The Girl Who Leaped Through Time, The Matrix, The Indiana Jones Trilogy (there was no fourth movie), Good Will Hunting, Fight Club, Ocean's 11, Mr. Deeds, The Last Starfighter (I am pretty sure no one else has seen that movie), Princess Mononoke, Spaceballs, Repo: The Genetic Opera, and Hunt for Red October. For that matter, anything else that Sean Connery or Stephen Fry is in. So that pretty much includes all the original James Bond movies, V for Vendetta, and anything else I forgot.

/* Music */
My favorite music is pretty much any artist that does alternative metal, rock, hardcore electronica, happy hardcore techno or epica, but the current favorite would have to be Heidevolk with honorable mentions for Blind Guardian, DJ S3RL, Mindless Self Indulgence, Nightwish, Dr. Steel, Angerfist, System of a Down, DJ Korsakoff, Deadmau5, Scooter, Infected Mushroom, Outblast, Reel Big Fish, Korn, Muse, Modest Mouse, Franz Ferdinand, Linkin Park, Alien Ant Farm, and Darren Styles.

/* TV Shows */
Favorite shows are quite limited as I don't watch much TV nowadays, but they include Top Gear, Who's Line is it Anyways?, Fullmetal Alchemist, Most Extreme Elimination Challenge, FL CL, Junkyard Wars, Iron Chef, Battlebots, Jojo's Bizarre Adventures, Doctor Who, and Mythbusters.
Soon to come: Firefly and Game of Thrones. If you're lucky, you can introduce me to them.

/* Games */
I felt like a games section was needed since I play enough of them, both traditional games and video games.
Dwarf Fortress, Minecraft, ArmA2 with DayZ mod, Tribes: Ascend, Pathfinder, Dread, Settlers of Catan, Cult of Cthulhu, Hitman Bloodmoney, OpenTTD, Portal, Portal 2, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Team Fortress 2, Terraria, Saints Row 2, Saints Row the Third, Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine, Psychonauts, Puzzle Agent, Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, Starcraft Brood War, Boarderlands, and more.

/* Food */
My favorite food right now, by far, has to be my own made peppered shrimp alfredo pasta. I have a thing for seafood since I came from a coastal town. Besides that, the standard french fries, pizza, baked goods, and pretty much any food, but home cooked meals always seem to taste the best to me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Friends (My family gets included in this)
2) Internet (Which implies a computer to access it with)
3) Nourishment (Just wanted to combo food and water into one)
4) Bed (minimum size: Queen)
5) Home cooking (I caught the cooking bug awhile back)
6) Knowledge (I'll throw learning in there too)

This list assumes things automatically provided by the Earth, like air to breath and ground to stand on, do not need to be included.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Once I have taken over the world, how would I objectively rate the amount of cuteness and "D'awwww!" effect per kitten as I inject them into the matrix that I had told everyone was a virtual reality video game running on a 56k dial-up modem? (You are now hearing that obnoxious dial-up tone in your head, and you're welcome.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
not wearing pants when I want to feel comfortable and underwear over my pants when I want to be super-awesome.

In all seriousness, it depends. If I know of an event happening on a Friday night that seems interesting, I'll be there. If not, I'll probably be gaming with friends. However, there is the occasional Friday that I just dedicate to cooking experimentation or other more productive things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If you do a Google image search for the word "shipsmith" and in the first results see a picture that includes a kid with a blue shirt next to a bearded man, that kid is me at the age of 15 working on my blacksmithing apprenticeship.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you think you can write a message and answer a response with more than one word per message.

If you need a starter topic for a conversation, then let me suggest a few.
* Whether or not I look better with a beard
* Trading cooking recipes (I am looking for some new ones)
* What is your dream car
* What kind of app do you really wish existed on your phone
* What country would you move to if given the opportunity
* Do you enjoy writing? (I actually enjoy writing more than reading, oddly.)
