My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm not a very complex person, if I'm being honest with myself. I like to brew tea. I can program in 3 languages, but speak 1. I enjoy welding, but professional techs tell me I don't do that great a job (shit's way harder than it looks, especially when you got the shaky hands syndrome).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I just finished my degree in Mechanical Engineering, so I'm working at the university for the moment until I can secure something in industry.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Most things.

But on the reals. Lately I've discovered I can bake like none other. No, that isn't a colloquialism for smoking bud, baking bread costs like 50 cents a loaf and tastes like nothing I'd be able to describe with written word. Not to mention I can guarantee there's no egg or milk products in it if all I throw in the bowl is flour, water, salt and yeast.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've never been told by a recent acquaintance that I have any remarkable features to speak of. Sucks, but it's the truth.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
[book]: I have a lot of loves, but my absolute favorite is probably "I had trouble in getting to Solla Sollew" by Dr. Seuss. It's amazing in every way a book (with illustrations!) can be. Beyond that I've been dying for book 6 of a Song of Ice and Fire (ie Game of Thrones) to be finished. GRRM certainly takes his time with them.

[movie]: okay, obscure-ish one here but there's this black and white Japanese film called Rashomon that I really really love. I'd recommend it. Other than that I really love Hitchcock (North by Northwest, Rear Window) and Tarantino film.

[music, in no particular order]: Scale the Summit, This Town Needs Guns, The Antlers, Periphery, Tesseract, BTBAM, Minus the Bear, Avett Brothers, Plini, Chon, Circa Survive, Intervals, Boards of Canada, The Ocean Collective, Alt-J, Led Zeppelin, The Mars Volta (not when sober, though), Hozier, Simon and Garfunkel, Animals as Leaders, Into It. Over It., Look Mexico, Arcade Fire, Protest the Hero, The Front Bottoms, Arctic Monkeys, The Fall of Troy, Neutral Milk Hotel, Hrvrd, Pomegranate Tiger, Reel Big Fish, Dream Theater, Hail the Sun, Last Chance to Reason, Modern Baseball, King Crimson, Say Anything, Title Fight, The Wonder Years, The Reign of Kindo, and The Human Abstract to name a few.

[food]: Quinoa is Love, Quinoa is Life.

All that being said I don't feel like having the same taste in television or music can make two people compatible for one another. It's nice to like the same stuff but attraction doesn't stem from "yeah, I watched that one too".
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Glasses or contacts
2) TI-89 Plus (Like, they do computational algebra with symbolic manipulation. How can you live without that in today's world?)
3) Chapstick
4) ATH-M50x
5) Socks with gaudy stripes
6) List making
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why do all the planets rotate around the sun in the same plane and the same direction?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
20% of the time: Going out and drinking.
80% of the time: playing video games and wondering why people waste time with drinking at a place that marks up the product's price by 500%.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I voted for Gary Johnson in 2012.

If you're not looking to hook up. I'm not a just piece of meat. I want to feel valued for my intellect and character, not just my body.
