I love good movies and quiet nights in. I love hanging out at fun local bars with good company. As long as it's a night with good friends, I'll be having a great time. I'm a theatrical designer and artist who loves reading, television, comparative mythology, history, comedy, and a host of other random things. Right now, I'm looking toward the future and very focused on my goals. In five years, I plan to have my MFA and be back out in LA or NYC and hopefully making money this time.

I'm an MFA designer in MSU's Theatre program. In my spare time, I draw to build my portfolio and do some writing to publish online to make some extra money. Also just kind of hanging out and trying to meet people in my new city.

I draw and do digital work. Occasionally I'll write when the mood hits me, which isn't often enough anymore. Lately, I enjoy learning about important social justice and cultural issues. I'm also pretty good at making fun of bad movies, which has always been a favorite hobby.

I seem serious, even though I'm really not. I love joking around with people and really appreciate a good sense of humor.

Books:
I Claudius, Lord of the Flies, Candide, any David Sedaris, Harry Potter The Stand, American Gods, Neverwhere, and Life of Pi. As for plays, I'm a fan of Chekhov, Ibsen, Beckett, Churchill, and some Shakespeare as long as it's not one of the comedies.

Movies:
Always been a Tarantino fan, as well as Wes Anderson, the Coen Brothers, and (almost) everything from Pixar. Enjoy older stuff by directors like Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, Akira Kurosawa, and others. This year I've enjoyed Life of Pi, Argo, Rise of the Gaurdians, Safety Not Guaranteed, and Skyfall .

Shows:
Favorite shows right now are Breaking Bad, Community, Archer, Futurama, Walking Dead, and the Venture Bros. Some all time favorite are Arrested Development, The Wire, Deadwood, Party Down, Seinfeld, the Critic, Spaced, Slings and Arrows, and Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Music:
The Decemberists, The Killers, Radiohead, The Dresden Dolls, The Black Keys, Deathcab for Cutie, The Shins, MIA, Tom Waits, Kimbra, Studio Killers.

My Kindle, a sketch pad, a drafting table, the right amount of sleep, people to talk to, and Netflix Instant.

I'd rather be out, but right now I'm probably working, doing something for grad school, or finishing an art project.

I actually didn't think LA was that big of a hellhole.
