I'm a neuroscientist and science, education and technology policy wonk who likes art and community building . So yes, I'm pretty much a nerd, but a well rounded nerd with a good heart.
There's a lot of fun stuff to do here in DC, and I guess, at the very basic level, I'm looking for someone to do stuff with, and get to know better in the process.
Ex. the Kennedy Center, Eastern Market, Concerts at the 9:30 club; art openings and museum exhibits; farmers markets, embassy events, festivals, hiking, etc..etc....etc....etc
Personality wise, I guess I don't really fell like I'm a typical DC'er. I'm not really a type A person. I love what I do, and I want to change the world just like nearly everyone else here, and I'm pretty confident at this point that I will, but I don't ever want work to define who I am as a person. I want who I am as a person to inform/define my work...does that make sense?
At this point, I'm good. Great job, good friends, great place, fun life..could never have imagined being able to do the things I've been able to do so far.....but you know....I'm thinking... if its this good with just me, how much more fun would it be with some company; someone that has your back and that
So yeah, I guess at the end of the day I'm looking for someone to share the good and the bad of everyday life with- to have their back, and in return theirs mine. An in case of emergency contact.
But for now...lets just go do something fun.
