My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a kind, honest and thoughtful person as well as romantic and passionate. I believe in personal growth and I always try to look beneath the surface. I'm easy going and I love to laugh when I hear a good joke. I would like to meet a woman who is similar in these respects, someone who is smart, intellectual, familiar with world affairs, introspective, kind and one who is emotionally available. I believe in sharing on all levels. I am looking for that woman who can become my best friend, someone who I can connect with, someone who is mature, financially secure and self-confident yet ready to be indulged and romantic.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Big on movies and books. A bit of a book worm. Love museums. Love travel. Like to go to the ocean and watch the pelicans. Love driving on mountain roads. A foodie. Learning cooking. Loves languages, currently learning Italian.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening.

Mostly into thrillers but also an avid reader of magazines such as Traveler, TIME, Via and other. I like different movie genres such as thrillers, comdey, drama but not sci-fi or animation. Into many foods, Italian, Afghan, Calif., seafood, big on good sushi, a good steak, lamb lamb lamb. Music of all kinds.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Easy going about life so I wouldn't know things I have to have.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Trying to connect with my inner voice on a daily basis and spend time on things that make me happy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually available or with friends or just enjoying the happy hour at a local café.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I often become emotional when I see a good movie or a KQED program that touches me.

after reading the following you think this may be worth a coffee/drink...

I believe that balance is key in life. As a rule, I prefer to start slow and build on as we go. I look for a partner who I will connect with on multiple levels. Stimulating conversation is just as a turn on as physical attraction. I love thrillers and John Grisham is one of my favorites. I recently discovered Harlan Coben. What an author! I usually read a lot, often concurrently in Hebrew and English. My name is Gyora. I was born and raised in Israel and have lived in the south bay since 1989. I'm, or rather was, one of these hi-techies that came over for two years (seriously) and ended up staying as reality always hits you when you plan other things. There is a proverb in Yiddish (I don't know much) that sais, in free translation, "man plans and god laughs". I love to laugh as well although not always remembering the right joke in the right time. Oh, well. I'm Jewish but not fanatic about it. I grew up completely secular. BTW, I do have a great joke about jews and catholics. I told it once to a friends' mother who is a traditional Italian catholic and she didn't find it amusing so maybe it fits only those who can see beyond the stereotypes. It's basically that there is really not much of a difference between jews and catholics, they both wait for the messiah to come and the only difference is that the catholics are waiting for him to come the second time around (while the jews are still waiting). Speaking of Italy, I've taken both Italian language classes and Italian cooking. Yum. Anyway, I hope I didn't bore you and maybe you even laughed. If you think you want to risk a coffee/drink drop me a line. -G
