My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I gravitated to London just over a year ago from the depths of the Welsh Valleys, and ended up as a lab technician in a school after a long time being a post grad. Lefty environmentalist, science lover (esp Biology and Chemistry), plant enthusiast (but not as green fingered as I'd like. The poor houseplants...), lover of science fiction/fantasy especially Doctor Who, player of board and card games, and collector of elements of the periodic table.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Harbouring ambitions to be an inspirational mad chemistry teacher - update, I *am* a mad chemistry teacher.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Chemistry, I like looking at really old text books and manuals and saying 'I bet I can do that'.

Doctor Who trivia, a lot of it.

Random but useless facts on all sorts of things, but they're rarely any good for pub quizzes.

Saying words in a really Welsh way

Playing along to Pointless, one day I'll apply to the show just to win the trophy, sod the money

Alphabetising things and arranging books and stuff by author or colour. Strangely this neatness does not extend to my work desk which is a mountain of clutter.

Having minor accidents, I can't help it.

Getting lost.

Being found.

Spotting old buildings and places of a certain atmospheric feel and labelling them what I call 'Cthulhu chic'.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My unmanageable hair. I've recently had a haircut so gone from big bushy hair to cute sticky-up hair. Sigh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
- Books are a tough choice, one of my favourites is the Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch, authors including Heinlein, PKD, Jack Vance, HP Lovecraft. I like some Doctor Who novels, I've never read a Star Trek novel. On my to-read-soon list are Keep the Aspidistra Flying and The Catcher in the Rye.

- Blade Runner, Brazil, V for Vendetta, 2001 a Space Odyssey, the Dollars films, The Wild Bunch, Kill Bill, Moon, any science fiction B-movie of dubious quality. That's a grim list of films, there are comedies I like too, honest.

- I like some comic books, my favourite heroes are Daredevil and Deadpool, my favourite villain is the seldom seen Stilt-Man.

- TV shows include Doctor Who, Blake's 7, The Prisoner, Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica (new), Firefly, LOST, Sherlock, Buffy.

- More comic or funny things such as Red Dwarf, Blackadder, Monty Python, The Thick of It, Have I got News for You, Screenwipe, things that are quirky and unusual.

- I'm not generally big on sport but I have followed Formula 1 since the mid 90s, sometimes I watch World Rally.

- On the Radio I like listening to the News Quiz, The Unbelievable Truth, Just a Minute, and I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue. I once went to see the recording of So Wrong it's Right because I'm a big Charlie Brooker fan.

- Musically I'll listen to all sorts but my overall music knowledge is terrible, I like David Bowie, Muse, Manic Street Preachers, Pink Floyd, T-Rex and an assortment of 70s and 80s things.

- I like Indian, Mexican, Italian foods, usually spicy things. I have a bit of a sweet tooth too and like chocolate from time to time.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My plants
my iphone (just like everyone else)
wikipedia/TV tropes/Cracked - the fonts of all knowledge
radio 4
A newspaper in the morning - I've really got into that
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Science experiments for school, Spaceships, Doctor Who continuity, board/card games, tasty foods, generally odd things about everything.

Also, why I can't help quoting films and TV on the answers to my OK Cupid questions, is that too nerdy?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having a few drinks with friends to relax or occasionally playing games. It's not adventurous admittedly. I prefer to go somewhere or do something fun on the weekend really.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't stand the texture of sponge.

...if you like nerdy things and have something that is different and fun that you'd like to do. I'm quite laid back and like going to museums or for walks around interesting places that have a history. I like science, science fiction, history, if there's something you think I'll be interested in, I'm keen to try new things. I'm in a relationship currently, but would like to meet friends.
