My Self-Summary
I'm a single dad with an amazing 3 year old son. I enjoy music,
movies, sports (football and hockey), playing pool, and drawing at
times. I can't think of too much to say here right now. I'm not one
to talk myself up, I guess. I'm looking to meet new people and
thought I would give this a try.
What I’m doing with my life
I moved to Des Moines from Cedar Rapids about 3 1/2 years ago and
still don't know too many people in the area. My son lives with me
and is with me most of the time so I don't get out too much. I work
full time and would like to get back into school to do something
more along the lines of a career. I went to school for about a year
majoring in Graphic Design and realized it wasn't for me and since
have been trying to find a passion to pursue. Right now I'm just
taking life day by day and looking around the corner for the next
thing.
I’m really good at
entertaining my son. It's amazing how the simplest things can amuse
a child. I'm pretty good at pool but I don't get too many chances
to play anymore. I'm good at making people laugh or at least
cracking a smile. I like to think I have a good sense of humor but
I think that's really something you would have to judge for
yourself. Some people don't get me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My all time favorite books are The Dark Tower books by Stephen
King. That series was a masterpiece. Too many movies to list since
I'm a movie dork. Star Wars, Quentin Tarantino films, horror
movies, comedies, etc. Some movies that I can watch over and over
would be Anchorman, Fight Club, Reservoir Dogs, American Psycho,
BASEketball, and The Crow. Music is another thing that I could go
on forever about. My all time favorite band is Tool. I listen to a
lot of different things but no country and very little rap/hip hop.
NIN, Deftones, RATM, Killswitch Engage, Dropkick Murphys, The
Tossers, White Stripes, (hed)PE, Bad Religion, Mudvayne, and
anything involving Mike Patton...just to name a few.
The six things I could never do without
My son (if you consider that a thing), my car, my iPod, oxygen,
food, and water. I know. I kinda cheated.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the future and what it holds.
On a typical Friday night I am
usually at home watching a movie, on the computer zoning out and
listening to music, or playing an occasional video game. Sometimes
when I'm able to go out, I go to the bar and meet up with friends
from time to time for a few beers.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm pretty private. I don't feel like opening up to everyone on
here so just ask me yourself.
You should message me if
you feel like getting to know me, hanging out, or just want to
chat. I may sound pretty boring but you would be surprised if you
took the time to talk to me.
